WWE 2K25 is the newest entry in the popular WWE 2K series developed by Visual Concepts and 2K. At launch, it features an extensive roster of wrestlers, but will continue to grow with additional downloadable content.
In the upcoming game WWE 2K25, there’s a season pass that ensures players can play with five downloadable content (DLC) packs. Each pack comes with five wrestlers. The lineup for WWE 2K25‘s DLC features both retired legends and current roster members who didn’t make it to the base game, as well as some unexpected additions. The DLC for WWE 2K25 will also introduce celebrity guests, basketball stars from the NBA, and even a wrestler currently on the AEW roster.
In September 2025, Billy Gunn, a current WWE wrestler, will join the roster of WWE 2K25 as downloadable content (DLC) as part of the Attitude Era Superstars collection. This group also includes D’Lo Brown, Road Dogg, Victoria, and Mark Henry. The Attitude Era Superstars pack is set to be released before three other packs: New Wave Pack in May, Dunk & Destruction Pack in June, and Fearless Pack in July. The last DLC for WWE 2K25 will be the Saturday Night’s Main Event pack, which is scheduled for release in November.

For several years, Billy Gunn has been contracted with rival professional wrestling company All Elite Wrestling, most memorably working alongside and managing The Acclaimed duo. It’s plausible that Gunn has a ‘Legends’ agreement with WWE, which could explain his appearance as downloadable content (DLC) in the game. It’s definitely an unusual case, but Billy Gunn isn’t the only unexpected wrestler joining WWE 2K25 as DLC additions.
The last time Billy Gunn was featured in a WWE video game was WWE 2K17.
Enthusiasts might find it intriguing to discover that ECW icon New Jack is set for an appearance in WWE 2K25, making this his debut in any WWE video game. Similarly, TNA legend Abyss will join WWE 2K25 as DLC, even though the character has never been on WWE television. It seems that WWE 2K25 is leaving no stone unturned with its DLC content, and it’s exciting to speculate who else might be included in the game.
