As someone who’s spent countless hours traversing through the mystical lands of Black Myth: Wukong, I must say that the journey is as enchanting as it is challenging. The boss encounters in this game are not for the faint-hearted, but they surely make the adventure worthwhile.
As a gamer diving into the thrilling world of Black Myth: Wukong, I’m excited to share that there are no less than 10 Yaoguai Chiefs and Kings lurking on the treacherous Black Wind Mountain. Some adventurous spirits will undoubtedly be drawn to challenge them all. While these formidable foes are bound to cross paths with many players as they traverse through the game, a handful of them lie off the main path. If you’re determined not to overlook any of these bosses during your adventure on Black Wind Mountain, this guide is designed just for you. It will provide precise locations to ensure that you conquer every Yaoguai Chief and King in Black Myth: Wukong’s Black Wind Mountain.
In this manual, we arrange the bosses from Black Wind Mountain according to their hierarchical positions. However, it’s important to note that the fearsome Red Loong is a boss you can’t battle when you initially explore the region.
Black Myth Wukong: Forest of Wolves Boss Locations
Bullguard
Enthusiasts of games featuring numerous bosses will come across the Bullguard, a prominent Yaoguai figure, during their journey from the Shrine of the Front Hills guardian to the Shrine of the guardian outside the Forest.
Guangzhi
Once you’ve triggered the Keeper’s Shrine outside the forest, known as “Outside the Forest”, here’s how you can locate Guangzhi, the Yaoguai Chief:
- Go left at the fork in the road.
- Follow the dirt path to reach a chest.
- Go right and cross the nearby bridge.
- Follow the path and pass under an arch.
There is a bell in Guangzhi’s arena, and fans of
action games
should make sure to interact with it.
Wandering Wight
As a gamer, here’s how I would rephrase it: “To find the Wandering Wight, I need to head back to the Keeper’s Shrine outside the forest, then take a right at the crossroads I’ll come across. From there, I’ll keep following the path.”
Red Loong
There is a waterfall in the area beyond the Outside the Forest Keeper’s Shrine, and there is a Yaoguai King behind it. Players cannot access that area straightaway, though, as they must first reach the game’s second chapter and then follow these steps:
- Progress to the Windseal Gate Keeper’s Shrine in Yellow Wind Ridge.
- Follow the path beyond the Keeper’s Shrine to reach an arena with an oddly-decorated wall. Players may encounter the First Prince of Flowing Sands in this arena, and the path to it is demonstrated in the video that is above.
- Use the Wandering Wight‘s ability to break through the decorated wall and pass through the crack.
- Collect the Loong Scales from the chest beyond the wall.
- Go to the Outside the Forest Keeper’s Shrine in Black Wind Mountain and navigate to the waterfall. The path to the waterfall is demonstrated in the video that is above.
- Interact with a marked point in front of the waterfall to gain access to Red Loong’s arena.
Lingxuzi
After crossing the shrine of the Guardian at Guanyin Temple, players will meet Lingxuzi, the Yaoguai King.

Baw-Li-Guhh-Lang
Once you’ve triggered the Snake Trail within the Keeper’s Shrine, gamers should continue along the earthy trail until it borders a small body of water. Those who enjoy games rooted in Chinese folklore should then leap into this stream and swim its course to reach a watery combat zone. In this arena, they will encounter Baw-Li-Guhh-Lang, the Yaoguai Chief.
Guangmou
As I journey from the Snake Trail Keeper’s Shrine towards the Marsh of White Mist Keeper’s Shrine, I will come face-to-face with Guangmou. To find this Yaoguai Chief, I need to keep moving along the path that borders the stream and traverse the area teeming with skeletal adversaries.
Lovers of games with RPG (Role-Playing Game) aspects ought to ascend the stone steps in Guangmou’s arena to reach a bell they need to ring.
Whiteclad Noble
The Whiteclad Noble is in a watery arena just beyond the Marsh of White Mist Keeper’s Shrine.
In the Whiteclad Noble’s arena, there’s a substantial cave-like opening carved into a towering rock formation. This hidden pathway ends at a bell that players need to engage with.
Elder Jinchi
Characters who ring the three bells on Black Wind Mountain within Black Myth: Wukong will be whisked away to the Ancient Guanyin Temple. There, enthusiasts can meet Elder Jinchi, a legendary Yaoguai ruler.
