Black Myth: Wukong is getting a PS5 physical edition

As a seasoned gamer with over two decades under my belt, I must say that the upcoming physical edition of Black Myth: Wukong for PlayStation 5 has piqued my interest significantly. Having witnessed the meteoric rise of titles like Dark Souls and Sekiro, I’ve developed a soft spot for games that blend the familiar with the fresh and original.

It’s been announced that the physical version of Black Myth: Wukong, published by PM Studios and Game Science, will be released for PlayStation 5. However, no specific date has been given yet.

Information about the physical version is somewhat scarce, with the team merely stating: “Black Myth: Wukong is set to be released at the PM Studios store and various retailers across North and South America, Europe, Australia, and New Zealand in the near future.

It’s clear that the package will contain specific items. Of course, you’ll find the game on a CD or DVD, but it’ll also come with a Deluxe Edition code voucher, offering additional features such as:

  • Weapon: Bronzecloud Staff
  • Equipment: Folk Opera Mask, Folk Opera Almsgiving Armor, Folk Opera Leather Bracers, and Folk Opera Buskins
  • Curio: Wind Chimes
  • Selected Digital Soundtrack

In August, the action game Black Myth: Wukong was released simultaneously on Steam and the PlayStation store. Within a month, it broke numerous records by selling more than 20 million copies. This game also holds the record for the highest number of simultaneous players in a single-player game on Steam, with over 2.4 million people playing at the same time. Soon, gamers will have the opportunity to own and play Black Myth: Wukong themselves, and display its captivating cover art on their personal shelves at home.

As a gamer, I’ve been diving headfirst into Wukong, and let me tell you, it’s an absolute gem. There are just a couple of hiccups here and there – occasional frame drops, and a few boss battles that feel like they’re testing my mettle to the max. Maybe they’re skill checks, and I need to brush up on my gaming skills. The combat in this game demands patience and calmness, qualities I often lack when I’m immersed in a game world.

Black Myth: Wukong is available now on PC and PlayStation 5.
