Based on a Forbes article, a Microsoft spokesperson shared that their team is enthusiastic about the debut of Black Myth: Wukong on the Xbox Series X/S and are collaborating with Game Science for its release on their platforms. The spokesperson mentioned they’d rather not discuss deals made by partners with other platform owners. Nevertheless, they can verify that the delay in launch is not due to any limitations of the Xbox platform.

Microsoft addressed concerns about the game’s postponement due to a memory leak problem on Xbox consoles, which led to its indefinite delay. The developers of Black Myth: Wukong are reportedly taking more time to fine-tune the game for these consoles. It was later suggested that the Xbox delay might be related to an exclusivity deal with PlayStation.

According to recent speculation, it’s possible that Game Science and PlayStation might have an unconventional exclusivity arrangement for Black Myth: Wukong.
