Black Myth: Wukong Leaked for Switch 2

Okay, so a really reliable leaker is saying that Black Myth: Wukong is actually coming to the Switch 2! Apparently, we’ll hear official news about it at the next Nintendo Direct. Nintendo has been killing it lately with getting huge games to run on their consoles, which is always a shock, and it sounds like Switch 2 owners are in for another awesome surprise. I’m seriously excited if this is true!

Nintendo officially announced a February 5th Partner Showcase after weeks of speculation and leaks. The presentation, expected to last around 30 minutes, will highlight games from third-party developers for both the Switch 2 and the original Switch. While details are scarce, rumors suggest a surprising announcement may be in store for Nintendo fans.

Black Myth: Wukong Could Be Announced for Switch 2 During the February 5 Direct

Well-known gaming leaker Nate the Hate recently predicted in a YouTube video that Black Myth: Wukong will be announced for the Switch 2 during the upcoming Nintendo Direct. He’d previously heard the game was planned for the platform. Black Myth: Wukong had a massive launch in 2024, becoming the most-played single-player game on Steam, surpassing Cyberpunk 2077 by almost 400,000 players in its first day. If it does come to the Switch 2, it could significantly boost both the game’s popularity and the console’s appeal.

As a huge fan of Black Myth: Wukong, I’m so excited for it! But wow, this game is massive. The PC version takes up a whopping 130 GB of space – that’s more than half the storage on the new Switch 2! While the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X versions are a bit smaller, it’s still a demanding game, and will really push those systems. Actually, the Xbox release was delayed because it wasn’t running smoothly enough at first, so getting it to work well on the Switch 2 might be tricky. Still, we’ve seen games like Cyberpunk 2077 run great on the Switch 2, and Game Science has had time to really optimize Wukong since it came out, so I’m hopeful!

Fans should be cautious about predictions from Nate the Hate, as with any leak. However, he’s proven reliable in the past – he recently correctly predicted Nintendo’s February 5th Partner Showcase, even detailing the type of presentation. This makes his information more trustworthy than rumors from unknown sources. While he seems confident that Black Myth: Wukong will be on the Switch 2, his claim that it will be announced at the Partner Showcase feels like an informed speculation rather than a definite confirmation.

Even if Black Myth: Wukong isn’t announced for the new Switch 2 anytime soon, the console is still getting a lot of great games from other developers. Nintendo made a strong start by announcing titles like Cyberpunk 2077 when the console was first revealed, and they’ve continued to add exciting games since then. Later this year, The Duskbloods and Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade are scheduled for release, and it looks like those are just the beginning of a growing list.
