Black Myth: Wukong Now Has Goku Mods

Black Myth: Wukong Now Has Goku Mods

As a longtime fan of both Chinese literature and Dragon Ball Z, this news has me absolutely thrilled! The convergence of my two favorite universes in Black Myth: Wukong is simply mind-blowing. I remember devouring Journey to the West as a kid, and later, being captivated by Akira Toriyama’s masterpiece.

Players of Black Myth: Wukong now have the opportunity to experience Game Science’s newest action RPG as Dragon Ball Z’s Goku, thanks to available modifications.

Currently, you’ll find two Goku mods on NexusMods. These mods primarily change the original outfit of Black Myth Wukong, without introducing any new gameplay features or additional elements to the game. The first one is named Son Goku and it introduces a character model that closely resembles the anime version into the game. The second one goes by Jump Force Goku and it incorporates Goku’s damaged character design from Jump Force within the game.

How do you install Goku Mods for Black Myth Wukong?

To properly set up Goku mods within Black Myth: Wukong, keep in mind that this is an experimental modification which functions exclusively with the initial game outfit. Be cautious as it may malfunction when used with other outfits. Therefore, ensure you switch to Tiger Hide Loincloth, Cotton Wristwraps, and Cotton Legwraps before installing the mod.

  • First, open Steam, right-click on Black Myth: Wukong and then head to ‘Properties’.
  • Here, you must type “-fileopenlog” in the Launch Options field. This will now allow you to install mods for the game.
  • Then head to Nexus Mods, decide which Goku mod you wish to use, and download it.
  • Once downloaded, head to Steam again, right-click on Black Myth: Wukong, click the ‘Manage’ button, and select ‘Browse Local Files’.
  • After that, use an unarchiving tool to unzip the mod files, then drag and drop the B1 folder into the game files.
  • That’s all. Now you can play Goku in Black Myth: Wukong.

Black Myth: Wukong’s Tale is modeled after one of China’s four famous literary classics, Journey to the West. It’s intriguing that Akira Toriyama, who brought us Dragon Ball Z, found inspiration from this very novel when creating his manga. As a result, you might notice some striking resemblances between Goku and Sun Wukong.
