Well, I’ve been through quite a few rounds of zombie slaying in my day, and let me tell you, the DRI-11 Beamsmasher is a game changer! It’s not every day you stumble upon a Wonder Weapon that’s as accessible and effective as this one.
In the secret Janus facility on Terminus Island during Black Ops 6, you’ll encounter various gruesome undead experiments. However, to help in the unending battle, players can acquire the DRI-11 Beamsmasher, an exceptional map-tailored Wonder Weapon for Terminus that swiftly dispatches hordes of zombies as if they were melting through butter.
In the game BO6, the DR11 Beam Smasher is a crucial weapon that helps players perform exceptionally well when aiming for long rounds against Manglers, Amalgams, and waves of zombies. Here’s a simplified guide on how to acquire the Beam Smasher in Black Ops 6:
Step 1: Turn on the Power With the AMP Generators
To get hold of the DRI-11 Beamsmasher, players need to kickstart power on Terminus Island by igniting the AMP Generators. These generators are scattered across the map, and activating one requires 500 Essence, which you’ll earn once it’s done. However, watch out for zombies with purple eyes as they will attempt to sabotage the generators at each location. Make sure to protect them accordingly.
- Inside the Guard Station (by spawn)
- Inside the Living Quarters (by Jugger-Nog)
- Inside the Bio Lab (by the cylinder in the center)
When the AMP Generators numbering three are fully activated, dive into the water to activate the incline lift and make the Pack-a-Punch available.
Step 2: Activate the Three Computer Terminals
In the city of Terminus, you’ll discover three computer terminals strategically placed. To activate these terminals, look for the ‘interact’ button. For now, there’s no need to remember the symbols that might appear on them as they change for each game. However, take note that their locations remain consistent across different games. Here are the spots where you can find all three laptops in Terminus:
- Outside the Guard Station by the railing to Communications.
- Outside the Interrogation Room, in the Storage Area, by railings and a barbed gate.
- By the railings that lead to the Docks, found by following the stairs from the Sea Tower.
Step 3: Acquire the EMF Fob
With Pack-a-Punch now operational and power back on the island, gamers must obtain the Dead Wire Ammo Mod for any weapon at The Armory station, which costs 500 Salvage. It’s recommended to get Dead Wire for a quick-firing weapon, as players will need to repeatedly shoot at stationary targets.
After obtaining the Dead Wire, make your way to the elevator in the Bio Lab and buy a ride for 500 Essence. Now, players should use their Dead Wire-equipped weapon to destroy five electric boxes as shown in the following video. Here’s where you can find all five of them:
- Face north on the Inclined Lift, in the room through the shattered glass.
- Immediately to the right of the first electric box on the wall.
- Immediately to the right of the second electric box, against the Living Quarters wall.
- Inside the Living Quarters, above the AMP Generator.
- On the Living Quarters’ outer wall, to the right of a blue barrel by the entrance.
After successfully hitting the five targets in sequence using Dead Wire, the Research Office’s doors automatically open, revealing a zombie pinned down by a fallen cabinet inside. Players have the opportunity to eliminate this undead foe, and in doing so, they can obtain the EMF Fob.
Step 4: Obtain the Multiphasic Resonator
After obtaining the EMF Fob and turning on all three computers in Terminus, players can now venture into the Sea Tower. Inside the Sea Tower, they’ll find a desk with a briefcase attached to a hand, located to the right of Elemental Pop. Players can interact with the briefcase to open it and retrieve the Multiphasic Resonator, but be prepared as Vermin are likely to appear, so eliminate them for some simple Essence before returning with the Multiphasic Resonator to the Research Office.
Step 5: Solve the DRI-11 Beamsmasher Puzzle
Using the EMF Fob and the Multiphasic Resonator, players can approach the computer terminal in the Research Office and engage with it on two occasions. This action allows them to set the Multiphasic Resonator and three adhesive notes, each bearing unique symbols representing X, Y, and Z. The challenge now lies in discovering the correct codes for the Beamsmasher puzzle, and there are two methods to achieve this.
Initially, gamers should make their way to the Guard Station at the start point to persuade Peck with 5,000 Essence for the required information. Although it may appear costly, players can retrieve some of their money back from Peck if they manage to catch a fish and prepare it in the Mess Hall for him.
Secondly, players can solve the puzzle themselves by looking at the whiteboards that show which numbers correspond with the symbols for X, Y, and Z, and then solving the algebra associated with each question on the other whiteboard. Here’s a detailed explanation of how to solve the DRI-11 Beamsmasher puzzle:
Players can ascertain whether they’ve inputted the correct code by receiving a message from either Peck or Strauss. Once confirmed, players should advance to the subsequent level, enabling them to gather the Multiphasic Resonator and uncover a fresh island on their terminal display.
Step 6: Get the AMP Munition by Charging the Multiphasic Resonator
After retrieving the Multiphasic Resonator from the terminal, it’s now time for you to make your way to the Docks and embark on a Tactical Raft voyage. Your destination is the sea, specifically the East Island and Castle Rock Island. Upon arrival, you will find a glowing blue orb on the shore. Using your Multiphasic Resonator, interact with this orb to start summoning an endless number of zombies.
As a fan, I’m excitedly making my way towards Crab Island in the South Islands, where I’ll discover a luminous green orb. I’ll position my Multiphasic Resonator near this orb, then watch as it pulses, eliminating zombies in its vicinity. Afterward, I’ll carefully transport the orb into a larger one, a process that needs to be repeated twice. However, players should be aware that pesky parasites may emerge during this interaction. Once both tasks are accomplished, I can grab my Multiphasic Resonator again and prepare for the final leg of my journey to the third island.
Go to Temple Island located in the North-West, specifically to a spot where a floating purple orb is found on the beach. Position your Multiphasic Resonator near it, and after that, eliminate the zombies whose shots are directed at the orb. Collect their essence by transferring it to the orb, similar to how you handled the last two orbs. When this task is finished, the AMP Munition component will fall.
Step 7: Craft the DRI-11 Beamsmasher
Players have acquired the AMP Munition, Multiphasic Resonator, and EMF Fob, which are essential components for creating the DRI-11 Beamsmasher. Once obtained, make your way back to the Research Office on the primary Terminus island. At the rear of the room, you’ll find a crafting table where you can assemble the DRI-11 Beamsmasher for your personal use.
Is the DRI-11 Beamsmasher Worth It?
The DRI-11 Beamsmasher is a great Wonder Weapon that players should add to their arsenal in Terminus due to how accessible it is and how easy it will make hitting higher rounds. The DRI-11 Beamsmasher’s crackling energy beam fire is pretty deadly, but it can be made even better with its alt-fire ability to stun zombies, including Amalgams. Not only will the enemies stun for a short duration, but they will take extra damage from weapons, so it certainly makes the camo grind easier if players can reach high rounds due to a gun that will constantly weaken targets.
Alternatively, players might opt for the Mystery Box to potentially obtain the elusive DRI-11 Beamsmasher, or they could utilize the Ultra GobbleGum instead. Do bear in mind that the Beamsmasher isn’t available in Liberty Falls; it can only be found in Terminus.
