Black Ops 6: How to Get the Jet Gun in Liberty Falls

Alrighty, let me take ya through this thrilling journey of crafting the Thrustodyne M23 in the zombie-infested town of Liberty Falls! As a seasoned zombie slayer with over 10 years of experience under my belt, I can confidently say that this bad boy is worth every step of the grind.

Liberty Falls, within Black Ops 6, offers an exclusive Wonder Weapon unique to this map. The item is none other than the Jet Gun from Black Ops 2’s Tranzit, but this time it’s truly worth assembling due to its impressive power. To acquire the Jet Gun in Black Ops 6, players must search for and collect its three separate components first, which they can then use to construct it. In doing so, they will be rewarded with a formidable weapon known as the Thrustodyne M23 for BO6.

As soon as you step into Liberty Falls, keep an eye out for the consistent locations of three crucial items. Here’s a helpful tip: Look here to find the Thrustodyne M23 Jet Gun in the Liberty Falls map of Black Ops 6. By doing so, you can easily craft this weapon every game without much hassle.

Step 1: Get the Water Pressure Gauge

Initially, players should make their way towards Washington Avenue, located on the map’s right side, either from the Motor Lodge motel’s spawn point or via the Savings & Loans Bank. In Washington Avenue, look for Lily’s Flowerpot shop, which is next to Speed Cola, and you’ll find a Water Valve that can be obtained on its right side, close to the blood-stained front door. To gather it, just move near the hose tap and press the interact button.

After obtaining the Water Valve, players should make their way to Fuller’s Liberty Lanes bowling alley. Inside, on the western wall of the lanes, they will find a box that can be destroyed by shooting or melee attacks. Once broken open, players can deposit the Water Valve inside. However, be aware that this action will summon purple-eyed zombies and vermin. To minimize their strength, it’s recommended to perform this action early in the game rounds.

Players should just press and hold the interact key near the Water Valve to boost the Water Pressure meter located at the top left corner. This process might take approximately 40 seconds in total. To keep progress, players must remain within Fuller’s Liberty Lanes as leaving the area will reset the meter. The simplest way to divert zombie attention and hold down the interact key at the Water Valve is by using Monkey Bombs, Decoys, or killing all the zombies before raising the water pressure during different rounds. Upon successful completion, a bright white light will eliminate any remaining zombies, and the Water Pressure Gauge can be collected from the ground.

These tasks numbered as 1, 2, and 3 can be carried out in any sequence that suits you best, though they’ve been arranged this way for ease of understanding.

Step 2: Obtain the Handbrake

After players manage to unlock enough doors to reach the Church, they should aim to proceed right and enter the Cemetery. Within this graveyard, their goal is to locate a particular zombie known as The Groundskeeper. Since The Groundskeeper is a random spawn, players must hang around the Cemetery and keep an eye out for him. He can be identified by his distinctive health bar label, overalls, and his attempt to escape. If players don’t manage to kill him, he will vanish only to reappear in the next round. Once The Groundskeeper spawns, eliminate him swiftly to obtain the Toolshed Key that he drops.

To get the Handbrake, a component of the Jet Gun Wonder Weapon’s second part, first locate the Groundskeeper’s Yard area, which is situated at the bottom of Hilltop and Washington Avenue. Once there, face north and you’ll spot a small shed near the Crafting Table. Use the Toolshed Key to open the door by interacting with the shed. After doing so, players can gather the Handbrake.

Step 3: Acquire the Electrical Wires

Players will need to be patient as they wait for a Mangler, a unique type of zombie enemy, to appear on the map, which typically occurs around Round 11. To progress, players must destroy the Mangler’s arm cannon by continuously firing at it until it drops, earning them the Mangler Cannon scorestreak. This streak is necessary for obtaining the Electrical Wires. If players prefer, they can also purchase the Mangler Cannon at the Crafting Table once they reach Level 20 and spend 1,250 Salvage.

Once you’ve secured the Mangler Cannon, make your way to Riverside, specifically near Olly’s Comics and the Radio House Electronics Superstore. To use the Mangler Cannon, press down on the D-Pad followed by the fire button at the locked entrance gate. This action will grant access to Radio House. Inside, you’ll find piles of wires and electronic goods scattered about. Some of these piles may contain salvage or vermin, but keep interacting with them until you come across the Electrical Wires part, which you can then pick up.

Step 4: Assemble the Thrustodyne Model 23

With the Jet Gun fully assembled, I’m now readying myself for the challenge ahead. Time to venture up to the second floor of the Motor Lodge motel, specifically room 202. Just a heads-up, stepping through that door could unleash a horde of zombies, so buckle up and brace for some headshot action! Once inside Room 202, I’ll come across a crafting station where I’ll be tasked with creating the Thrustodyne Model 23. Let’s see if my skills are up to the task!

Instead of constructing the Wonder Weapon immediately, it’s wiser to do so either at the end of a round or when the crowd is preoccupied, as this room is quite isolated and a blind alley. After building it, players have the option to replace one of their weapons with the Jet Gun in any of their two slots.

Is the Thrustodyne M23 Worth It?

The Thrustodyne M23 is definitely worth obtaining in Liberty Falls, as it’s far superior to its original creation back in Black Ops 2. The Jet Gun has notable improvements, and is essential for completing the Liberty Falls Main Quest. However, it’s not just great for how it helps with easter eggs, as the Thrustodyne M23 can instantly kill zombies on every round thanks to its powerful jet turbine that will see zombies sucked up and blended within the large weapon. The Thrustodyne M23 isn’t great against Manglers and Abominations, but its 100% charge makes it an efficient weapon for standard zombies.

Players need to understand that the weapon automatically refills its ammunition over time. If they press L2 or allow the Jet Gun to run out of ammo, it will discharge a Napalm Burst, which can eliminate and stun zombies potentially trapping the player. However, using this ability will make them wait for approximately 30-40 seconds as the ammo recharges.

Additionally, players have the option to secure the Thrustodyne M23 via the Mystery Box or the Wonderbar using the Ultra GobbleGum as well!
