As a seasoned Call of Duty player with countless hours under my belt, I can’t contain my excitement for the new game mode, Kill Order, debuting in Black Ops 6! I’ve always had a soft spot for team-based modes, and this one seems to be a thrilling blend of Team Deathmatch and VIP Escort from Black Ops Cold War.
In the upcoming version of Black Ops 6, a novel game mode named “Kill Order” will make its entry. You’ll have an initial opportunity to try it out during the beta testing phase.
In a nutshell, Kill Order resembles Cold War’s VIP Escort mission, but with some exciting and distinctive tweaks. To prepare you for the unique adventure that begins during the initial beta weekend starting on August 30th, let me share some key details about Kill Order.
What is Kill Order mode in BO6?
In the fresh gameplay style of Black Ops 6, called Kill Order, the objective is to accumulate points for your team primarily through eliminating opponents. However, each team possesses a Significant Target (ST), whose demise and slain enemies earn extra points.
In this setup, Team Deathmatch’s traditional style is blended, where team kills accrue points, and there’s an extra incentive: targeting High-Value Targets (HVTs) to expedite the process. Interestingly, HVTs can also play assertively, earning more valuable points for their team through kills.
In addition to their standard abilities, High-Value Targets receive extra benefits such as reinforced armor, additional skills, and a special feature that marks enemy locations on your mini-map.

As a devoted fan, I can’t help but notice that just one standout player from every squad is chosen as the High Value Target (HVT). This individual is absolutely crucial to their team’s triumph, making each of their performances a must-watch event.
It’s advisable for teams to closely monitor their High-Value Target (HVT), as they’re likely to draw significant focus from opposing players. From what I can gather, the gameplay will require you to juggle protecting your own HVT while also tracking down that of the enemy.

The mode is reminiscent of Black Ops Cold War’s VIP Escort but instead of an extraction point, the match follows a TDM score limit formula.
