Black Ops 6 Multiplayer Gameplay Showcased At CODNext

As a seasoned gamer with over two decades of experience under my belt, I must say, CODNext has truly outdone itself this time around! The new Omni Movement feature for Black Ops 6 is a game-changer that’s sure to take Call of Duty multiplayer to new heights. No more being stuck in the same old jumps and slides; now we can slide backward, sideways, even jump out of water in a diving motion!

Today marks the grand debut of CODNext (August 28, 2024) where we got a first look at Black Ops 6 and its multiplayer mode. The innovative omni movement system indicates that Call of Duty is about to revolutionize gameplay entirely.

At CODNext, it wasn’t just the unveiling of the new omni movement that grabbed everyone’s attention. The event also showcased a variety of fresh maps, some familiar ones, ways to access the beta, and much more.

Among the notable innovations in Black Ops 6, one standout feature is the introduction of omni-movement. Ever since this agile maneuvering system was initially teased, players have eagerly awaited the opportunity to test it out for themselves, and now, that moment has arrived.

In simpler terms, Omni Movement refers to a game feature that enables players to move freely in multiple directions, not just up, forward, or sliding forward. Now, they can also slide backward, sideways, and perform a dive-like jump even out of water.

The game will include a comprehensive practice course for Omni Movement, which will also be accessible during the beta phase.

How does a player get access to the beta, though?

How To Get Access To Black Ops 6 Beta

The beta version of Black Ops 6 will officially commence on August 30, 2024. A select group of creators who attended CODNext had the opportunity to try it earlier, but in a short while, other players can join the fun too!

Individuals who’ve already pre-ordered the game are granted immediate entry into the beta. If you happen to own Game Pass as well, that’s an added advantage; it grants access to the beta too! Therefore, don’t forget to secure either a pre-order or a Game Pass at your earliest convenience, and make sure your beta download is ready beforehand.

More maps from the Black Oops universe will be re-introduced and added throughout this year and next, bringing back some fan favorites.

New Mode Added

In Black Ops 6, players can expect a fresh addition to the game, named “Kill Order”. This innovative mode merges elements from two existing modes, Slayer and Objective, offering an exciting blend of fast-paced combat and strategic objectives.

In the game Kill Order, each team will be responsible for guarding a Valuable Asset (VA), which is crucial to them, while at the same time attempting to eliminate the enemy team’s equivalent asset.

In this game, points are awarded based on each kill made by every player. However, earning significantly more points can be achieved by eliminating the enemy’s High-Value Target (HVT) or when your own HVT manages to get a kill.

Furthermore, modifications were made to various gameplay aspects as well. The return of objectives is imminent, and the Hardpoint mode is now labeling Object Icons with numbers to simplify player communication during gameplay.

It appears that Black Ops 6 is shaping up well with the intention of reigniting the dominance of the Call of Duty multiplayer community once more.
