Black Ops 6 removed from PS4 database after hundreds play early

As a hardcore Call of Duty fan with over two decades of gaming under my belt, I must say, the latest Black Ops 6 leaks have been quite the rollercoaster ride! The early access to the multiplayer build on PS4 was a treasure trove for dataminers and leakers alike. It’s fascinating to see the game come to life even before its official release, giving us a sneak peek into the maps, weapons, Perks, and even a new Warzone map.

Following several significant data breaches, the multiplayer construction of Black Ops 6 has ultimately been taken down from the PlayStation 4 database. However, this doesn’t imply that further disclosures won’t continue to emerge.

On the 3rd of August, a preliminary version of Black Ops 6 multiplayer was covertly inserted into the PlayStation 4 store’s system, speculated to be the beta release scheduled for August 25th. Swiftly, leakers and data miners managed to download this file, resulting in numerous gameplay videos being shared online.

The footage disclosed various details, including the array of maps and weaponry, the available Perks, and a brand-new Warzone layout as well.

After about a week of information being shared on social platforms, the game was taken down from the PlayStation 4 database on August 8. This move blocks new players using jailbroken consoles from playing the version, as an attempt to ultimately stop the leaks for good.

Following a week of widespread leaks involving Black Ops 6’s multiplayer build being uploaded to the PlayStation database and subsequently accessed by unauthorized individuals, Activision has taken steps to remove the build from the PS4 database today. However, it seems that several leakers still possess the downloaded file and are able to play the game.

While no further users can join the beta build at this time, those who have already downloaded it are free to keep using it for now. As reported by Insider Gaming on August 7, a single Discord server was bustling with hundreds of players exploring the build, and there seem to be no restrictions preventing them from uncovering more hidden features.

Keeping these points in consideration, it’s not unexpected that additional leaks might surface as we approach the official beta by the end of August.

The leaked videos have sparked some apprehension among gamers, with numerous players expressing dissatisfaction about the gameplay’s visual roughness. However, it’s essential to note that these issues stem from an older generation version of Black Ops 6, not from the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, or PC versions.

Fortunately, a formal reveal of Black Oops 6 is scheduled for August 25 during CoD Next, where additional information about multiplayer modes, Zombie scenarios, and the campaign will be shared.
