Black Ops 6 & Warzone Global Weapon Builds feature explained

Black Ops 6 & Warzone Global Weapon Builds feature explained

As a seasoned gamer with over two decades of Call of Duty under my belt, I must admit that the introduction of Global Weapon Builds in Black Ops 6 and Warzone has piqued my interest. The convenience of having one loadout for all modes is undeniably appealing, but as someone who’s spent countless hours tweaking my loadouts to suit each mode’s unique requirements, I’m a bit skeptical.

In the Season 1 update, Call of Duty: Warzone now intertwines with Black Ops Cold War, introducing all the firearms, characters, and advanced movement mechanics into the battle royale setting. Additionally, a brand-new Global Weapon Customization feature is also included in this update.

In Black Ops Cold War, this fresh feature enables you to transfer your weapon setups seamlessly among various game modes, simplifying the process of organizing your loadouts. This is what we call Global Weapon Builds, and they apply across multiplayer, Zombies, and Warzone.

What are Global Weapon Builds in BO6 & Warzone?

In Black Ops 6, a single weapon setup, known as Global Weapon Builds, can be used consistently across multiplayer, Zombies, and Warzone modes. After crafting your desired weapon, you’ll have the ability to use it in any of these gameplay styles.

In the battle royale game, wildcards are included as well. Therefore, if you equip your weapon with eight attachments using Gunfighter, these attachments will persist too.

At the initial release of the game, both multiplayer and Zombies modes will be available. However, it’s during the Season 1 update of Black Ops 6 that this feature will make its way into Warzone, bringing along its weapons. Unfortunately, weapons from MW2 and MW3 won’t be included in this integration; they will continue to function separately.

In the upcoming additions to Black Ops 6, a new development known as Global Weapon Builds is on its way to the Gunsmith. This feature allows you to create your desired weapon setup for Black Ops 6, which can then be utilized across loadouts in Multiplayer, Zombies, and Call of Duty: Warzone. #CODNext | #BlackOps6

The concept here is to reduce the amount of time spent navigating through menus for updating your loadouts regularly. But, it’s yet uncertain how frequently players will take advantage of this system in reality.

Weapon builds across multiplayer, Warzone, and Zombies are typically very different. In multiplayer, you don’t need to equip 60-round mags or 3x optics, but with battle royale’s large maps and longer TTK, they’re pretty much essential.

Players might opt to keep their loadouts separate across the different modes despite having the option to use the same one, but we’ll need to wait and see what the meta looks like.

As a gamer, I’m excited about the return of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War’s battle royale mode, which seems to be going back to its original, pre-Warzone 2.0 simplicity. Gone is the complicated backpack system, and instead, players can only carry three Perks in their loadout.
