You can obtain the Black Sun shield in Crimson Desert by completing the Buried Treasure quest. This quest begins after you capture Ursula as part of a bounty and then read her journal. From there, you’ll need to follow the clues she left to find her hidden location. Inside Ursula’s treasure chest, you’ll find the Black Sun shield as one of the rewards.
Buried Treasure Quest In Crimson Desert
As you explore Demeniss, keep an eye out for purple flyers – they offer bounty quests. One of these quests involves capturing Ursula, an outlaw who’s been growing dangerous plants at Slopeseed Farm.
Go to the designated area, and you’ll find Ursula right in the center of the circular marker. Be ready – she’ll start running quickly, so watch the bounty icon on your map to track her movements.
Okay, so once I finally took down Ursula and turned her in, I got her journal. I checked it out in my inventory while playing Crimson Desert, and that kicked off a new quest called Buried Treasure! Time to go digging, I guess.
The journal refers to a hidden map, so head to the quest marker and locate the map inside the house on a table. After that, you’ll need to find and investigate clues from Ursula’s Journal.
How To Find And Examine Traces From Ursula’s Journal In Crimson Desert
Ursula’s map shows three locations, but they might appear empty when you get there. You’ll need to dig in the dirt mounds nearby to find anything.
To complete the task, you need to use a standard shovel to move the prompt to the Correction mound. Don’t use an upgraded shovel, as it won’t work.
The first clue from Ursula’s journal can be found in the center of the triangular farm field. There, you’ll discover a grape symbol, which is the key to solving the Secret Chamber of the Golden Plains puzzle in Crimson Desert.
Close to the grape marking, and assuming the scarecrow is still standing, you’ll find a pile of dirt.
Equip your non-upgraded, basic shovel, and there will be a prompt to shovel the dirt pile.
This is the Second Piece clue, one of three hidden traces Ursula left behind, according to her journal and map.
Now head southeast for the First Piece clue.
Equip the Shovel again and come close to the dirt pile until there’s a prompt to dig.
Once you have the first clue, go towards the large haystack near the campfire. You’ll find the last clue Ursula left there.
Go southeast again to the marked spot.
The dirt mound is located near the fence, where you can see a lake nearby.
Okay, so I’ve been collecting all the clues Ursula left behind. Now, I need to actually look at them in my inventory – that’ll finish up this part of the quest and kick off a new one: finding Ursula’s secret hideout!
Black Sun Shield Location In Crimson Desert (Ursula’s Secret Place)
Ursula’s Secret Place is located in the watery area of Demeniss City.
Head below the bridge where there’s a suspicious-looking wall.
You know it’s the right one as there’s a little, faint leaf symbol on it.
You can hover your lantern over it to get a better look at the marking.
If you attempt to break the wall, it will quickly return to its original position, preventing you from accessing Ursula’s Secret Place.
You have to climb the wall, then choose Resist to stab your weapon into the wall.
Next, punch the wall normally to make it flip.
Because you’re stuck to the wall, it will turn with it. You can find the Black Sun shield inside Ursula’s Secret Place in the Crimson Desert – it’s located in a Treasure Chest.
