BLAST, a renowned esports organizer, has announced its foray into mobile gaming esports in collaboration with Supercell, a prominent developer of mobile games. The upcoming tournament structure promises a three-pronged competition featuring only Supercell’s games. In October, players will battle it out to claim top prizes on Clash of Clans, Clash Royale, and Brawl Stars.
Three Times The Magic
BLAST, known for its high-tier esports titles such as Counter-Strike and Rainbow Six, is now venturing significantly into mobile esports. For quite some time, mobile esports has been expanding rapidly, and with an increasing number of games populating this field, it’s swiftly evolving into one of the most varied segments within the broader esports industry.
In days gone by, a mobile game boasted the largest simultaneous audience at an esports competition, only to lose its crown to the 2020 League of Legends World Championship.
In October, the BLAST Bash event is set to occur, showcasing an exciting lineup of three popular games: Clash Royale, Clash of Clans, and Brawl Stars. The following is the schedule for BLAST Bash:
- BLAST Clash: 12 – 13 October
- BLAST Royale: 12 – 13 October
- BLAST Brawl: 10 – 11 October
The prize amounts might not be enormous, but this is BLAST’s initial venture into mobile esports. As such, a smaller scale debut is to be anticipated. What makes it exciting is that the BLAST Bash tournaments will involve teams from Europe, EMEA (Europe, Middle East, and Africa), and North America, making it an international event right out of the gate.
