As a longtime fan of the Bleach anime and manga series, I couldn’t contain my excitement when Bandai Namco unveiled the gameplay trailer for Bleach Rebirth of Souls during their recent showcase event. The trailer showed us an intriguing combat system that required players to wear down their opponents by depleting their Reishi gauge and destroying all nine of their Konpaku, making it a far cry from the Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero gameplay I was initially worried about.
Today, Bandai Namco unveiled a fresh trailer for Bleach: Rebirth of Souls, providing an in-depth exploration of its gameplay features.
In simpler terms, the objective of each battle is for players to deplete their opponent’s Reishi energy and eliminate all nine of their Konpaku to secure a victory.
In addition, there are Spiritual Pressure Techniques and corresponding reversals that ensure fair fights. Fighters have the option to execute these moves during attacks or defense, thereby engaging fans in strategic planning. Furthermore, players can amass energy to attain a “Awakened” condition, granting them access to extraordinary abilities.
In the trailer for Bleach: Rebirth of Souls, some viewers expressed apprehension that it might be overly similar to Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero. Yet, numerous fans were impressed by the unique combat system and rhythm showcased in the preview.
At a presentation held by Bandai Namco in early March 2024, they introduced Bleach: Rebirth of Souls for the first time. The focus of this event was primarily on showing cinematic clips and plot developments. No definitive launch date or release schedule has been disclosed yet.
