The studio is being helmed by Konrad Tomaszkiewicz, who previously directed at CDPR and oversaw the creation of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. In a recent conversation, Mateusz – Konrad’s brother – discussed the creative direction for Blood of Dawnwalker. He highlighted their emphasis on delivering high-quality content rather than large quantities.
‘Our Games Are Not as Huge’
Mateusz Tomaskiewicz, spokesperson for Rebels Wolves, clarified that Blood of Dawnwalker isn’t a mammoth game in terms of content or playtime, but it is substantial. Being their first project, Rebel Wolves’ ambition with this debut title might be slightly more contained than what one might anticipate.
According to an interview with GamesRadar, Mateusz shared that Blood of Dawnwalker’s story will likely last between 30 and 40 hours. This is significantly shorter than the typical 100-hour playthrough experienced in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt from 2015.
That’s alright since Rebel Wolves prioritizes crafting a polished product over bombarding players with an abundance of content and choices.
Regarding quality, we undoubtedly prioritize games that match or surpass the caliber of The Witcher 3, given its provenance in our development history.
Absolutely, due to being a smaller studio working on our inaugural project, the scope of our games may not be as expansive in terms of content and playtime compared to larger studios. However, our focus is on creating something that matches up in quality, albeit possibly shorter in duration.
In this rephrased version, the dark fantasy game in question invites players to delve into a gloomy narrative filled with encounters involving vampires.
