Bloodborne 2 is still nowhere to be seen, so maybe try this mod that turns Elden Ring into Bloodborne

The recent Game Awards came and went without any news about Bloodborne 2, a remastered version of the original, or even a performance patch to improve the frame rate. Disappointed by this lack of attention, fans created Graceborne, a mod that essentially transforms Elden Ring into a *Bloodbornestyle game, and it’s receiving a lot of praise.

The Graceborne mod dramatically transforms the world of Elden Ring into a darker, more gothic experience inspired by Bloodborne. It removes the day and night cycle, making it perpetually night and adding textures that evoke the look and feel of Yharnam. Players will also encounter familiar Elden Ring enemies, redesigned with a *Bloodbornestyle aesthetic, like a stunning headless horseman.

Graceborne isn’t just visually impressive; it also brings back the best parts of Bloodborne. This includes the game’s unique weapons – not only are the firearms and trick weapons from Bloodborne included, but there are also some new ones. You can also parry with guns, and the game maintains Bloodborne’s fast-paced movement by removing equipment load, letting players fully embrace the agility of a hunter.

As a huge fan of both Elden Ring and Bloodborne, I was so excited to try the Graceborne mod. The creator, Noctis, says it’s not meant to be a Bloodborne sequel, just a really cool visual overhaul for Elden Ring. But honestly, he’s being way too modest! It’s absolutely fantastic. It completely transforms the game, and it’s another incredible achievement from the Souls modding community. Even if you don’t want to play through it, just walking around The Lands Between looking at the spooky, Halloween-esque atmosphere is worth it.

Both Bloodborne and Elden Ring are considered all-time great games, and a big part of that is how much they inspire players and encourage creativity. A perfect example of this is Graceborne, a mod created by the passionate Souls community. Even though its creator says it’s still early in development, Graceborne is already impressive and worth checking out.

This isn’t an official sequel or add-on to either game – it’s a fan-made project created out of passion. It beautifully combines elements of both games to offer a fresh experience, and it’s definitely worth playing.
