Bloodborne: Where To Go After Blood-Starved Beast

As a seasoned gamer with countless hours logged into the dark and mysterious world of Yharnam, I can confidently say that Bloodborne is a masterpiece that continues to challenge and captivate me even after multiple playthroughs. The game’s intricate design, coupled with its terrifying enemies and atmospheric setting, has left an indelible mark on my gaming memories.

In comparison to Elden Ring, Bloodborne might lean towards a more structured gameplay experience, but it doesn’t skimp on additional content for players to discover. For instance, there’s the Blood-Starved Beast, which is an optional boss encounter. Some of these optional bosses serve as valuable sources of Blood Echos, while others offer beneficial upgrades like rune equipments.

In the game, you’ll encounter the Blood-Starved Beast as one of the initial bosses. The route to the next significant boss might not be straightforward, but don’t worry! There are multiple paths you can take, some leading to additional challenging bosses and optional areas that players can explore before progressing further.

Where To Go After The Blood-Starved Beast In Bloodborne

To advance in Bloodborne’s boss sequence, your next objective is Vicar Amelia. Make your way back to the Cathedral Ward lantern and descend the stairs, then turn right. In the following room, you’ll find an elevator leading to the Healing Church Workshop tower. As you approach the tower, watch out for two gunners firing from above and a charging enemy coming from the bridge. Instead of entering the tower, follow the path along the outside to the right until you spot the damaged section.

Descend to the platform or ledge situated beneath you, then carry on moving forward. Keep your gaze towards the left side for accessing the lower part of the tower. The upcoming chamber will feature numerous platforms and ledges that you’ll have to jump down onto in order to get to the lowest level.

Regardless of how weakened you may be, you’ll manage to endure every hardship. Just make sure to recover completely after each instance, and you’ll come out alright.

After vanquishing the creature on the lower level, exit through the rear door and walk along the street. A group of adversaries will approach from your right, having emerged from the elevator they came from. At the top of this elevator lies a platform offering a view of a sizable gate below. To open the gate with a lever located down and to your right, use that large gate as a shortcut back to Cathedral Ward.

By taking the path to your left from the lever, you’ll eventually come across a series of grand staircases. Ascend these staircases ahead and you’ll discover a towering cathedral, its doors waiting to be opened. Inside, you’ll meet Vicar Amelia.

Other Places To Go After Blood-Starved Beast

Yahar’Gul, Unseen Village

After focusing on Vicar Amelia, there are two additional destinations you can explore once you’ve defeated the Blood-Starved Beast. From the Cathedra Ward lantern, exit through the front gate and promptly turn right, then circle around the building’s side to encounter a tall enemy carrying a sack. If you perish in battle against this foe, a cutscene will ensue, transporting you to Yahar’Gul, Unseen Village. This area could be challenging at your present character level, but the loot acquired will make you stronger when you revisit Vicar Amelia.

In some instances, defeating this foe doesn’t initiate a cutscene; instead, watch out for its power that draws you closer with a blue energy field. Also, be aware that if you have any Blood Echoes on you during the encounter, they will be forfeited upon defeat.

Hemwick Charnel Lane

An alternative spot you might want to explore is Hemwick Charnel Lane, particularly beneficial for lower levels. To find Vicar Amelia, when ascending the stairs, glance to your left at the platform just before the final set of stairs, where larger enemies wielding poles can be found. Following the path to the left will eventually lead you to the Cathedral’s rear end and a wooded area that connects to Hemwick Charnel Lane. This is where players should head in order to acquire runes and passive advantages.
