- Blue Lock and Liverpool FC partnered up, showcasing special illustrations and a video at Anfield.

Blue Lock has recently initiated an exciting new partnership with the prestigious English soccer club, Liverpool Football Club! This highly anticipated soccer anime series has been strategically forging alliances to captivate ardent football enthusiasts worldwide.
Although the manga continues with new releases (a total of 32 volumes have come out so far), the second television season concluded in December 2024. Given the strong support it has garnered from fans, it’s expected that an announcement for a follow-up (either another season or film) will be made shortly.
Blue Lock, a manga series partnered globally with Kodansha, has teamed up with Liverpool Football Club. This unique partnership showcases exclusive illustrations of Blue Lock characters donning the home jersey of Liverpool. Furthermore, on the first floor of their headquarters at Anfield, there’s a special display featuring photographs of Liverpool players alongside an illustration of Blue Lock characters. Don’t miss it!
Kodansha also unveiled a special video:
Back at it again with the amazing Liverpool FC and Kodansha! You might remember we teamed up for a Blue Lock collaboration way back in 2021 – yep, that’s right, we sealed the deal on a partnership together then!
Other Blue Lock Collaborations in the Soccer World
Blue Lock formed numerous alliances within the soccer community, with the goal of increasing awareness for the anime. One such partnership was established in 2022 with Adidas, resulting in the creation of a jersey for the Japanese National Team that drew inspiration from the series.
2023 saw me teaming up with the legendary Inter Milan, leading to an extraordinary collaboration! This alliance birthed a unique edition of the first installment by Panini Italia, graced with a breathtaking cover art depicting my beloved characters sporting Inter Milan’s iconic jerseys. What an incredible experience it has been!
To sum up, by 2024, a partnership named “Project J. League” was initiated between Blue Lock and the J-League for the purpose of marketing the Japanese release of the movie titled “Blue Lock The Movie -Episode Nagi-“.
Looking Ahead to Possible New Collabs
As an observer, I find myself excited about the potential expansion of Blue Lock during the upcoming FIFA World Cup qualifying rounds in 2026. The qualifiers are set to resume across all continents later this year, opening up numerous possibilities for the series. Additionally, it’s plausible that Blue Lock might initiate negotiations for activations and collaborations to coincide with the 2026 World Cup itself.
2025 may bring further updates on the anime, and given the popularity of soccer during major events like the World Cup, releasing a new season or film around that time could generate increased interest since soccer is expected to be a trending topic again next year.
Blue Lock is available to stream on Crunchyroll, subbed and dubbed.
