Bo: Path of the Teal Lotus infinite kettle quest: where to start?
As you explore the main city, you’re bound to encounter this side mission organically. But if you need a nudge, make your way to the left side of the city once you arrive. You’ll find yourself in the mountains eventually, and at some point, you’ll stumble upon a small settlement. Look for a house there, and inside, you’ll find an NPC standing near a large kettle with a creature in it. This character will initiate the quest by sharing a riddle and mentioning four missing pieces. If you manage to locate these items and return them to him, he’ll mend the kettle and provide assistance. To guide you, here’s the riddle: [Riddle text goes here].

What are the solutions, and where do you go?
As a seasoned adventurer with years of experience under my belt, I can tell you that this side quest sounds intriguing! From what I gather, each of the four kettles represents a unique location on the map, and to progress, we’ll need to perform specific actions using Bo’s particular skill set. Now, I’ve encountered my fair share of riddles in my travels, some of which were a breeze to solve while others left me scratching my head. But this one piques my curiosity, as it adds an element of mystery and exploration to the quest.
Riddle one: “Where waters seethe between mountain’s peak, shake the earth to reveal what you seek”
As a gamer, I’d say: Make your way to Megumi Mountain and discover the colossal figure taking a dip in the hot spring. To the left of him, find a spot close to the bathing area and unleash the ground pound move using my trusty Mochi Mallet. Voila! The coveted kettle piece will be yours.
Riddle two: “Where thorns weave walls, a lone shrine stands, take leap of faith where danger lands”
Follow the map and make your way to Midori Forest. To the right of the lone save shrine, you’ll notice an odd pit filled with spikes. Instead of avoiding it, leap onto the spikes. They will then vanish, uncovering a hidden pit and granting you the second part of the kettle.
Riddle three: “Amidst echoing caves and water’s fall, pour tea where the giant stands tall”
Up until now, this part has given us the greatest challenge. right above the Ice Caverns area, there’s a significant fall. Once you reach the bottom (and it’s mandatory in the storyline), you’ll find yourself facing a grand statue with an impressive backdrop. Ensure that you’ve taken some damage before drinking tea from this location. This completes part three.
Riddle four: “From the birth of the lotus we’ve drifted afar, return and ascend to touch a hidden star”
To obtain the last part of the kettle, make your way back to the opening of the game using the “Forest of the Crimson Bamboo” quick travel spot. This means returning to where you initially awakened and positioning yourself on that specific spot before proceeding. Once there, take a leap and you’ll acquire the final kettle piece.

After obtaining all four parts and returning to the vendor to complete your quest, you’ll be able to completely refill your kettle whenever you reach a save point. This eliminates the need to begin boss battles with an empty kettle and allows for effortless refilling by simply pressing “up” on your controller at a save point. It’s a small but significant improvement, particularly if you rely on Kodama and their tea from your kettle.
