As I delve deeper into this captivating narrative, I find myself utterly intrigued by the enigmatic character of More. His life story, once seemingly straightforward, has now unfolded into a labyrinthine tapestry of intrigue and mystery. It’s as if he’s been weaving threads of secrets that only time and patience can unravel.
Just like the Persona series, the game Metaphor: ReFantazio features a relationship-building system called Bonds, which are similar to social links. As you advance through this system, you can unlock additional quests and forge stronger connections with the game’s characters. More specifically, More is one of the initial Bonds in Metaphor: ReFantazio, but it is also one of the most challenging to reach its maximum rank.
Achieving the top tier in ‘More’ necessitates finishing numerous side missions and leveling up certain character types. Although it’s a challenging endeavor, reaching the maximum rank with ‘More’ is definitely worth the effort as it grants access to new character types and beneficial Bond skills.

A more enigmatic figure named More appears to communicate mentally with the main character, yet at first, it remains unclear what bond or shared interest brings them together.
Because he’s been confined within Academia, More has completely forgotten his past and requires assistance in regaining those recollections from the main character in Metaphor: ReFantazio.
As More’s Bond Rank rises, a gradual recollection of his past and self-awareness of identity and mission begins to surface.
More’s Bond Ranks Explained
Just like other Bonds in the game ‘Metaphor: ReFantazio’, More has eight tiers to progress through to reach its maximum level. Fortunately, initiating a Bond with More is as simple as reaching December 30th (6/5 on the calendar), as it’s automatically accessible on that day.
Your ranks comprise additional missions that focus on either boosting character levels or mastering particular Character Types. For instance, attaining Healer Level 10 with a single character or learning about 15 distinct Character Types are examples of such tasks. Lastly, achieving the final Bond rank requires elevating an Elite Character Type to Rank 20.
After wrapping up a mission assigned by More, I’ll advance to a superior rank, and the subsequent side missions will kick off on their own. The best part? There are no tight deadlines for these side quests, giving me ample time to finish them all, climb up the ranks with More, and ultimately achieve maximum rank!
Keep in mind that there are no Royal Virtue requirements to reach higher Bond ranks with More.

More will delve into the intriguing power of Archetypes and disclose himself as the writer of the book the main character has been perusing. Now, More proposes an advantageous partnership that benefits us both.
After you agree to this proposition, the Bond with More will begin and the first Rank is unlocked.

Luckily, the Healer Archetype unlocks automatically on 6/10 by starting a Bond with Maria.
To quickly advance the Healer Archetype to Rank 10, make sure to keep it equipped during your dungeon adventures.
We also recommend using Hero items on the Healer Archetype, which grants it tons of experience.
The main character recalls with More that they had previously delved into the study of Archetypes, but their exploration was halted by a king who imprisoned them in Akademia. However, they are now back on track to continue this research, as it could potentially reshape the world – initiating a new adventure together.

Checks/Requirements | Study the Gunner Archetype |
In this latest adventure, titled “Chapter One: Ordeal of More’s Task,” you’ll find a new side mission. This mission focuses on understanding the Gunner Archetype, which at first glance might seem straightforward.
You can acquire the Gunner Archetype anytime following June 29th by finishing the “Providing a Spark” mission. Once the initial royal tournament is over, Neuras will offer the “Providing a Spark” side quest on your Gauntlet Runner journey to Martira.
The objective is to obtain a sacred artifact from Komero Village. To reach there, use the round table in Gauntlet Runner as your means of transportation. Once you’ve arrived at Komero, locate the artifact, retrieve it, and bring it back to Neuras. By doing so, you will finish the quest and gain access to the Gunner Archetype.
After coming back to More, he expresses his viewpoint that the King imprisoned him in Akademia due to his Archetype studies nearing a discovery the king wanted hidden. Archetypes, according to More, are substantial and those in power perceived them as a danger. Nonetheless, this is merely More’s speculation.
The main character is required to aid further in investigations to assist him in his jailbreak, which then offers a new mission from this individual.

To obtain the Merchant Archetype, advance your relationship with Brigitta (located outside Lycaon Magic Association in Grand Trad) to Bond Rank 1.
Following the accomplishment of his quest and rejoining More, a recollection surfaces within him. He is reminded that he too had been a wanderer, traversing numerous cities, much like the hero in question. His journeys inspired him to compose a fantasy novel detailing an ideal society, which many dream of seeing someday.

At present, it seems like you’re nearly reaching your objective in the game. It’s advisable to engage with characters displaying the Bond symbol (if possible) to boost your Rank instead of spending the day on other tasks. Boosting your Rank is crucial as it allows you to access more Archetypes.
Reflecting on the past, I can’t help but dredge up some painful memories about a former ally who let me down. As for who that person was, it remains unclear in this moment.

Checks/Requirements | Study the General Archetype |
After that, it’s time for you to proceed to Study Chapter Four of More’s Task: Turmoil. This particular chapter focuses on understanding the General Archetype. To access this archetype, you need to establish a bond with Bardon up to Rank 3.
His current state is more dismal than ever, as he recalls the camaraderie he once shared with a full team at Akademia. This nostalgic thought leaves him perplexed, wondering why none of his former allies have intervened to free him from the monarch’s imprisonment.
It’s starting to cross More’s mind that perhaps his own crew might have been responsible for imprisoning him, not the King. As the story deepens and becomes more complex, it falls upon the protagonist to aid More in unearthing forgotten memories through Archetype research, in order to get a clearer picture of the entire situation.

Moving on to task five, Chapter Five: Resolve, you’ll be delving into an exploration of twenty-five distinct character Archetypes. Be sure to strengthen your relationships with the game’s characters as you progress, and unlocking these twenty-five Archetypes should prove achievable, albeit it might take some time. Patience is crucial in this endeavor.
Ah, here I am, reminiscing once more. It strikes me now that the Akademia prison might just be a disguised classroom within the prestigious Royal Mage Academy. Isn’t it fascinating how places can hide secrets of such magnitude?
It seems hard to escape the belief that the King, in a sense, established the classroom environment. This notion makes More suspect that the King intentionally kept him there to delve deeper into his studies. Initially, he assumed the King aimed to halt the study of Archetypes, but now he wonders if that assumption was incorrect altogether.
Rank 8
Location | Akademia |
Perks/Abilities | Archetype Evangelist: Increase an Archetype’s status bonuses by +3 while channeling it |
Checks/Requirements | Level up an Elite Archetype to Rank 20 |
To achieve the ultimate Bond Rank for More, it’s advisable to elevate the Soul Hacker Elite Archetype to Rank 20 by continuously improving its levels. This is because reaching Rank 7 of More’s Bond grants access to the Soul Hacker Elite Archetype.
As I hit Rank 20 with my Elite Archetype character, I can’t help but be overjoyed at my own progress. The camaraderie and support from fellow gamers as they join me on this epic journey fills me with optimism. It’s moments like these that make me feel like there’s still hope for our virtual world, and I see a bright future unfolding ahead.
As a gamer, I regret to say that More seems to be holding back some insights right now. He’s reached a kind of conclusion, but he thinks revealing it might interfere with the character’s development and the archetypes involved. He wants his memory to be fully restored before he shares any more details with us.
For now, he sends the protagonist on his way and wishes him well on his journey to becoming king.
