The classic game Bop It is now available as a video game! Game Rant recently got an exclusive first look. Officially titled Bop It! The Video Game, it’s currently available on PC and other platforms, with prices varying depending on where you buy it.
Bop It, created by Dan Klitsner, first came out as a line of audio toys from Hasbro in 1996. The basic idea was to listen to fast-paced voice commands and quickly react by ‘bopping,’ ‘twisting,’ or ‘pulling’ the device. As players successfully followed the instructions, the game got faster and more difficult. Bop It became incredibly popular, leading to many different versions and partnerships that continue even now.
Continuing the recent revival of classic toys, *Bop It! The Video Game* was unexpectedly released on September 18th. Game Rant has an exclusive first look at the launch trailer, showcasing gameplay set to upbeat music. Unlike the original, this video game version doesn’t come with the physical Bop It controller – players interact with the game using a screen, controller, or keyboard.
Bop It! The Video Game Features Soundtrack by 2 Mello
Though *Bop It! The Video Game* features some familiar sounds, its music largely consists of original tracks created by 2 Mello, a well-known hip hop artist and video game composer whose real name is Matthew Hopkins. The Kentucky-based producer has also contributed to games like *Ghosts of Miami*, *Celeste*, and *2064: Read Only Memories*.

- Mobile: Free to start, $2.99 for the full game without ads

While the mobile versions are free to play, they initially only include levels based on Shapes and are supported by advertisements.
