Suitably, the moving laser from the Cutsman not only moves smoothly but also causes a type of “wounding” impact, as it can repeatedly harm targets during its passage. When used primarily within a moderate distance, the Cutsman becomes an efficient damage-inflicting tool. The effect damage, scatter, and multiple strikes work particularly well against hordes of tough enemies in Mayhem 10—as players can gradually wear them down from a relatively safe position over time.

As it emits slow-moving orbs that look like they’re floating, these orbs have a significant effect when they hit their target. They cause widespread damage in an area and burst either upon hitting something or when they reach their maximum range.
12 Unkempt Harold

- Obtained randomly but with an increased chance to drop from respawnable mini-boss Caber Dowd in Bloodsun Canyon, exclusive to the Bounty of Blood DLC.
- Fires shots that split twice to form four additional projectiles that deal splash damage.

As a passionate Borderlands 2 fan, I’m thrilled to see the legendary Torgue gun making its comeback! It’s true to its roots, but with some refreshing tweaks. The gun isn’t exactly a sniper when it comes to precision, and it tends to send shots in different directions. However, if you find yourself in medium or long-range encounters, the Harold really shines!
However, once this action is completed, the beloved weapon proves itself as a miniature power source, just as potent, despite losing its “Double Penetrating” designation.

Apart from the exciting feature of firing rapid cryo bullets with your tracking grenade, this pistol stands out as a fantastic damage-per-second (DPS) weapon on its own. It’s potent, versatile, and offers reasonable accuracy, which is crucial in the chaotic Mayhem mode, where targets can move erratically and gunfire can result in unpredictable recoil.
10 Tizzy
Children Of The Vault (COV)
- Obtained from the Arms Race game mode in the Designer’s Cut DLC.
- The high fire rate increases the longer the trigger is held.
- Can drop in any elemental variant.
Perhaps one of the most rapid-shooting guns available, the Tizzy pistol effortlessly cuts through adversaries as if they were mere obstacles. This weapon also comes in versions labeled X2 and X3, capable of inflicting even greater chaos on the battlefield.
The downside to this weapon is that it can eat through ammo faster than any other gun in the game. Players should use this weapon wisely or risk not having ammo when they need it the most. Moze can utilize this weapon the best thanks to her ammo regeneration perks.
9 Flipper

6 Torrent

This item can drop from any loot source you come across, but there’s a higher probability of finding it when looting the Lasodactyl in the Obsidian Forest.
This item is versatile, fitting seamlessly into various constructions. Its unique conical discharge pattern ensures precision, and it’s capable of vaporizing nearly any adversary within the game. It’s gained considerable popularity among players, particularly for farming bosses.
4 Free Radical
Maliwan
- Obtainable from Beef Plisskon in Karass Canyon. Only obtainable from the Director’s Cut DLC.
- Projectiles hit a target and spawn a homing projectile.
- Always comes in the Shock element
The Maliwan-made Free Radical pistol delivers a surprising punch, excelling particularly at breaking through shields due to its unexpected impact. Instead of firing traditional bullets, this weapon generates secondary projectiles that often eliminate targets before they have a chance to be hit by them.
The Free Radical functions similarly to an upgraded Queen’s Call pistol, with a key difference being that it continuously discharges additional ammunition whenever the target is struck, rather than only when a critical hit occurs. These supplementary shots cause area damage, whereas the initial shots do not.
3 Backburner

- Obtained from the Agonizer 9000 boss while playing on Mayhem level 6 or above.

On character Zane, particularly in build constructions, the Backburner rocket launcher has gained popularity due to its immense destructive potential from Vladof manufacturing. This weapon’s singularity effect, which scatters multiple energy balls upon impact, increases the area of splash damage.
Instead of Zane getting hurt by friendly fire from his own weapon, he can utilize his clone to minimize such damage. Simply arm the clone with a Transformer shield and opt for a shock version of the Backburner weapon to ensure friendly fire damage is avoided.
2 Atlas Replay

- Obtained from respawnable raid boss Hemovorous the Invincible in the Director’s Cut DLC or from The Seer.
- Tracker Darts ignore walls.
- Fast fire rate that increases as more enemies are tracked.
The Atlas Replay gun stands out as an ideal choice for any character. It’s unique among Atlas weapons due to its emphasis on using the secondary fire mode, which launches tracking darts that zero in on adversaries. For each enemy struck by these tracking darts, the weapon’s rate of fire boosts significantly. This enhancement can more than double the firing speed and enables the bullets to target the marked enemies.
As a gamer, I don’t require additional features with the Atlas Replay; its raw power is sufficient. This gun packs such a punch that it swiftly dispatches my enemies.
1 Plasma Coil

- The Plasma Coil is found in the Arms Race game mode obtainable in the Designer’s Cut.

The Maliwan Submachine Gun gained widespread popularity following its debut alongside the Arms Race game mode in late 2020. Unlike some might expect, this weapon fires a series of 16 bullets at once before pausing, but don’t let that fool you into thinking it has a slow firing rate. On the contrary, the Maliwan SMG boasts an exceptionally fast fire rate and packs quite a punch as well.
This firearm can take down opponents with just one round of ammunition and boasts an exceptionally large capacity for bullets. The Maliwan Submachine Gun typically features a combination of shock and radiation, which makes it particularly effective against defensive barriers and for dealing with large groups of enemies.
