Taking down farming bosses is a central element of Borderlands 4, and Bramblesong is particularly challenging. This massive, airborne boss isn’t just one of the most difficult fights in Borderlands 4, but your hard-earned loot can also fall off the edge of the arena and disappear, adding to the frustration.
Okay, so if you’re not specifically after any of its unique legendary items, you can pretty much forget about Bramblesong once you’ve beaten it in the Auger Mine. But, heads up – some of its weapons are super important for certain character builds. Here’s my guide on how to find and farm Bramblesong in Borderlands 4.
Borderlands 4 Bramblesong Location
You can find Bramblesong within the Bittervein Auger Mine, which is situated in the northern section of the Stoneblood Forest area of the Terminus Range in Borderlands 4. These Auger Mines become accessible once you finish the ‘Shadow of the Mountain’ main quest – the initial story mission in the Terminus Range.
Once you progress sufficiently in the story, you can fight Bramblesong at the Bittervein Auger Mine whenever you want. Be aware that the mine is full of flying Kratches, so make sure you have a long-range weapon such as an assault rifle or sniper rifle to handle them. After navigating some challenging platforming sections within the mine, you’ll arrive at Bramblesong’s boss arena.

The Bramblesong is a huge Kratch creature that attacks with powerful, corrosive acid shot from its tail. It stays airborne throughout the battle, making weapons effective only at a distance. It has two health bars, and both are especially vulnerable to fire damage. This is a relatively simple fight, and smaller Kratches will circle the arena-you can use them to get back on your feet if you’re knocked down.
Bramblesong Legendary Drops

Bramblesong has two dedicated legendary drops in Borderlands 4.
Legendary | Description |
---|---|
Convergence Shotgun | Asymptotic: On hit, spawn converging projectiles on enemy. |
Disco Grenade | Groove: Spins and deals AOE damage before exploding. |
Convergence is a top-tier legendary shotgun in Borderlands 4, known for its ability to come with various elemental damage types and licensed weapon parts. This versatility means it complements almost any character build. The Disco grenade is also remarkably effective. It continuously deals area-of-effect damage as it hovers, making it ideal for managing groups of enemies.
If items disappear after you defeat Bramblesong, look in your Lost Loot. Keep in mind that it might take some time for the system to register your new items.
Legendary items are very rare, meaning you’ll need some luck while farming Bramblesong if you’re looking for a specific version for Convergence or Disco. Luckily, you won’t have to farm Bramblesong repeatedly once you’ve obtained the item you want. However, you might need to revisit it later – potentially when trying to unlock Ultimate Vault Hunter 5 in Borderlands 4.
