Borderlands 4 Confirms Crossover With a Surprising Franchise

Get ready for a wild team-up! Borderlands 4 and PGA Tour 2K25 are officially crossing over. The next season of the golf game will be themed around the popular Borderlands shooter series, and while Borderlands has done crossovers before, this one is definitely unexpected.

While the PGA Tour series might not seem like a natural fit for collaborations with other games, it’s surprisingly had a few over the years. PGA Tour 10 let players unlock a costume based on Isaac Clarke from Dead Space, and Rory McIlroy PGA Tour included character skins inspired by Battlefield 4, as well as a golf course built within the ‘Parcel Storm’ map from that game.

Borderlands 4 Is Crossing Over With PGA Tour 2K25

The popular golf game, PGA Tour 2K25, is getting a Borderlands 4 crossover in its fourth season, called ‘Mayhem on the Greens.’ The new season starts on Wednesday, October 29th, according to an announcement on the game’s official X (formerly Twitter) account.

2K, the company behind games like Borderlands and PGA Tour, hasn’t revealed all the details for the upcoming Mayhem on the Greens Season. However, a picture shared on X (formerly Twitter) suggests what’s coming. It appears the Borderlands Psycho outfit seen on the golfer in the announcement will be available in PGA Tour 2K25 next season, probably along with the futuristic golf club shown in the image. The background of the announcement might also hint at a new golf course based on Kairos from the upcoming Borderlands 4.

If you’re wondering what typically comes with the seasonal updates for PGA Tour 2K25, Season 3 – released in August – included these features:

  • A new Clubhouse Pass featuring new cosmetics and a free shot type
  • The ability to evolve equipment to Diamond rank
  • New cosmetic items in the PGA Tour Superstore inspired by brands like Adidas and Breezy
  • New quests and Ranked Tour events

Season 2 of PGA Tour 2K25 offered more new content than the first, including fresh outfits and challenges. It also added a brand-new golf course – a detailed recreation of the famous Old Course at St Andrews in Scotland.

While not officially announced, the upcoming crossover between PGA Tour 2K25 and Borderlands 4 will likely include a Clubhouse Pass with cosmetic items – some free, some paid – inspired by Borderlands. We can also expect challenges based on the Borderlands series, similar to past seasonal content.
