Borderlands 4 Driller Hole Boss Guide and Legendary Drops

Each boss in Borderlands 4 can drop a special collection of legendary weapons, and this includes bosses you meet during the story, such as Driller Hole. You’ll fight this boss around the middle of the main Borderlands 4 storyline, and there are several good reasons to return and fight him again later on.

Farming bosses is now simpler than ever in Borderlands 4 thanks to Moxxi’s Big Encore, a feature that allows you to quickly respawn bosses for a small cost. Because of this, Driller Hole is one of the most straightforward bosses to farm in the game. With the correct character build, you can defeat him in just seconds and begin another rematch before the loot even settles. Here’s a look at what Driller Hole drops in Borderlands 4.

Borderlands 4 Driller Hole Boss Location

Driller Hole is located at the very bottom of Queen’s Cradle, which is in the Tonnage Peel area of Carcadia Burn within Borderlands 4. To start the boss fight, you’ll need to play through the Carcadia Burn story until you finish the “Unpaid Tab” main quest. Completing this quest will take you directly to Driller Hole, and you’ll be able to challenge him again whenever you want after that.

Driller Hole is a favored target for farmers due to how easily he can be defeated. He has two health bars – a yellow one and a red one – meaning a corrosive and fire weapon combination will quickly eliminate him. He’s slow-moving, features a large critical hit area, and spawns relatively weak enemies that you can utilize to revive yourself if you fall. Additionally, the Moxxi’s Big Encore machine is conveniently located very near the battle area.

Driller Hole Legendary Drops

Driller Hole has three dedicated legendary drops in Borderlands 4.

Legendary Description
Fuse Grenade Fortified Position: Deals persistent AOE damage where the grenade lands.
Katagawa’s Revenge Sniper Rifle Stormcloud: Launches fireballs or shock orbs depending on the current elemental mode.
G.M.R. Assault Rifle Big Name Hunter: When zoomed in, damage increases by +100%, shot cost increases by +100%, and fire rate decreases by -50%.

The special rewards from Driller Hole are great for many different character setups, meaning you’re likely to get something useful. G.M.R. is a very powerful assault rifle, dealing significant damage with each shot when you aim. Katagawa’s Revenge is a fantastic elemental sniper rifle, able to fire both fire and shock projectiles.

The Fuse grenade is a really effective piece of Ordnance, and one of Driller Hole’s strongest drops. When thrown, it bounces around, firing bullets and launching bombs at everything nearby. It can even roll with elemental effects, which makes it great for quickly destroying shields and armor. It’s definitely one of the best Ordinances in Borderlands 4.
