Players of Borderlands 4 have discovered an issue while trying to collect Legendary Class Mods. It appears they’re getting significantly fewer mods specifically designed for their own character class.
Even though *Borderlands 4* just came out, players are already discovering the most efficient ways to collect valuable loot. A lot of gamers have quickly completed most of the game and are now repeatedly battling bosses, hoping for rare items to drop. However, players have noticed something seems unbalanced when it comes to getting Legendary Class Mods.
Borderlands 4 Legendary Class Mod Drops Are Weighted Against Your Class
So, I was reading a Reddit post by Mr_Rafi about some testing done by the Borderlands 4 YouTuber, Dantics, and it’s kinda frustrating. They farmed the Callis, the Ripper Queen boss 100 times with both Rafa and Harlowe to see how the legendary class mod drops were going. Basically, they were checking if the game was giving you the class mods for the character you were playing. With Rafa, they only got *two* Rafa-specific legendary class mods, which is way lower than the next worst result of 10 for Vex. But here’s the really weird part – when they farmed as Harlowe, they only got *one* Harlowe class mod, but somehow got 15 Rafa class mods while playing as Harlowe! It seems like the drop rates are seriously messed up right now.
Players in the discussion generally agreed that when dropping Legendary Class Mods in *Borderlands 4*, the game should prioritize the mod for the class the player is currently using. Many felt that even a roughly equal distribution across all four classes would be acceptable. One player pointed out that *Borderlands 3* had a similar problem, which was later fixed.
We understand this problem is annoying for players, but it’s uncertain if Gearbox will address it quickly. The indefinite delay of *Borderlands 4* on the Nintendo Switch 2, combined with performance problems across all platforms, hints that the developer might be facing larger challenges.
