How to Get Clearance for the Elevator in Recruitment Drive
Once you find yourself at the elevator following the Recruitment Drive mission, you won’t be able to turn it on and meet up with Claptrap again. Instead, what you need to do is gain access to the elevator, and the deceased Timekeeper guards guarding it hold your ticket in.
To obtain clearance for the elevator, rotate towards the body leaning against a crate by the railing. Retrieve his Bolt when you do so; this item will grant you access to the elevator. The interaction prompt can be hard to spot due to its small font size, and you must be fairly close for it to appear, which is why some players may become stuck at this point.
After obtaining the access card, trigger the elevator, and Claptrap will ascend to your floor. Concluding the Recruitment Drive mission, you’ll then set up your initial hideout within this structure, providing a teleportation spot, shops selling weapons and equipment, and minor missions to tackle. This is merely the first of numerous shelters you’ll discover in Borderlands 4.
