Borderlands 4 Shift Code Gives You a New C4SH Exclusive Skin

After players finished a recent community challenge in Borderlands 4, Gearbox Software released a new Shift Code. This code unlocks a unique “Like Vermillion Bucks” skin for the game’s newest character, C4SH. It’s been about two weeks since the “Mad Ellie and the Vault of the Damned” DLC – which introduced C4SH – became available, and players are already experimenting with different ways to play as her.

While the Borderlands 4 DLC has some bright spots – players are enjoying the new character C4SH and his abilities, as well as the overall atmosphere – many feel the expansion doesn’t offer enough value for its $30 price tag (on top of the $70 base game). The new area is quite small, even smaller than the game’s starting zone, and the main story can be completed in just a few hours (around 2-3). It also includes some new weapons alongside the C4SH character.

Many players are enthusiastic about C4SH, and the community really showed their support for the DLC Vault Hunter last weekend. Even though it was Easter, players participated in a challenging event where they had to defeat all of Borderlands 4‘s bosses using C4SH. According to Gearbox, players collectively defeated over 524,912 bosses! As a reward, they can unlock a unique, deep red Vault Hunter skin called “Like Vermillion Bucks,” and the best part is, this skin is available to unlock now or anytime before December 31, 2030. This Borderlands 4 Shift Code doesn’t expire for a long time!

Although Shift Codes for Borderlands 4 are mostly used to get Golden Keys for better loot, they also unlock cool character skins. Several skins, like the Break Free Pack, Amon’s Cult Classic Skin, and Rafa’s Savings Savior Skin, have been available through these codes. Unlike Golden Keys, these skins usually stay available for a longer period – all of them are redeemable until December 31st.

It’s debatable whether the new Borderlands 4 downloadable content is worth the cost, but Gearbox Software is definitely focused on keeping players engaged and supporting the game’s community. While some might question if that’s the best use of their resources, many fans clearly enjoyed the recent C4SH event over the holiday weekend. As usual, players quickly discovered a way to create an incredibly powerful build, and others are still exploring what’s possible. Hopefully, events like this encourage the kind of ongoing player activity that already exists.

It would be great if the next downloadable content for Borderlands 4 introduced a character as memorable as C4SH. Hopefully, the upcoming major DLC will have content that more players enjoy.
