Good news for Borderlands players who enjoy the Vex build! Gearbox has postponed the expected nerfs to the popular, but potentially overpowered, build. While Gearbox didn’t directly say the Vex build would be changed in the latest update, recent patch notes hinted at adjustments to strong skills and gear. Many players interpreted this as a signal that the Vex build’s dominance was about to end, but that change won’t be happening today.
It’s true that not everyone plays as Vex, so the delay of the update might be disappointing for players who want improvements to *their* preferred characters. The update was planned to improve a lot of things, including class mods, gear, and shields, specifically to make melee builds more effective and fix issues with other characters. Plus, it was going to include requested fixes for stability, performance, and general gameplay. So, while the delay is frustrating, it’s understandable given the scope of changes planned for *Borderlands 4*.
Borderlands 4 Vex Players Have a Few More Days With Her Infinite Bleed Build

Vex’s incredibly powerful ‘infinite bleed’ build has become popular in *Borderlands 4* because it allows for a continuous damage loop. This is achieved by combining her Bloodletter skill with a special Throwing Knife (equipped with a Penetrator Augment for critical hits and bleed) and her Contamination skill. Many players have been using this exploit for a while, and it’s become so well-known that the developers are likely to reduce its effectiveness in a future update.
We don’t know exactly when the update to address the Vex issue in *Borderlands 4* will be released. Gearbox has only said it’s coming “early next week.” While past updates usually launched on Thursdays, this one might arrive on Monday or Tuesday instead.
At the very least, this means Vex players can still have fun with their favorite bleed build over the weekend. Plus, even though the next update is postponed, the new Weekly Activities for *Borderlands 4* are launching today, giving players something new to do while they wait.
