As a longtime fan of the Borderlands video game series, I couldn’t contain my excitement when I heard that a movie adaptation was finally in the works. And now, with the release of the final trailer before its August 9 premiere, I can barely contain myself!
On August 9, the Borderlands movie will debut in cinemas, and Lionsgate has recently unveiled the last preview for the film prior to its theatrical release.
In this adventurous game titled “Borderlands,” the renowned actress Cate Blanchett takes on the role of Lilith. Meanwhile, Kevin Hart brings his unique charm to the character of Roland. Jack Black lends his distinct voice to Claptrap. Ariana Greenblatt portrays the spirited Tiny Tina. Florian Munteanu joins the cast as Krieg, while Jamie Lee Curtis embodies the character of Tannis.
Nine years after initially being announced, the movie version of Borderlands is finally set to premiere. In an earlier interview, Randy Pitchford described the first film as the foundation for a larger Borderlands cinematic universe.
“The first film in the Borderlands Cinematic Universe, ‘Borderlands: The Movie,’ introduces some characters previously seen in the various parts of the popular video game series,” he explained.
