What’s even more surprising is that Kakashi hasn’t made a single appearance in the manga yet, and neither has Tsunade. It feels like they’re being forgotten.

I’ve noticed a lot of fans seem disappointed with Konohamaru. It feels like his character has become mostly for laughs, and he doesn’t get the chance to grow into the strong, capable ninja he could be – the one who might even become Hokage someday.

While fans are eager to see the original characters from Naruto play a bigger part in Boruto – perhaps as teachers, guides, or even fighters – it seems they’ll mostly stay in the background, allowing the new generation to take center stage.

A lot of us are still reading, though, hoping for a huge power-up for Naruto and Sasuke, rather than focusing on Boruto’s journey to defeat the villains.
