The Boruto series consistently enhances Boruto Uzumaki’s abilities. Through powers like Karma, new techniques such as a modified Rasengan, and his recent sword improvements, Boruto has quickly become one of the strongest characters in the series.
Currently, Boruto Uzumaki is stronger than both Naruto and Sasuke were at his age. Still, there are some incredibly powerful characters in the Boruto series that he would definitely lose to right now, as they have abilities far beyond his current reach.
Jura Counters Boruto’s Ultimate Moves
Currently, Boruto Uzumaki’s main goal in Boruto: Two Blue Vortex is defeating Jura, who is essentially a form of the Ten-Tails. However, Jura is incredibly powerful—far stronger than Boruto—and even with help from Kashin Koji’s strategic abilities and Kawaki’s increased attack power, Boruto’s chances of winning are slim.
Boruto needs to use all of Momoshiki Otsutsuki’s power to fight Jura, but even that might not be enough to win. Jura can heal incredibly quickly, and his skills with Wood Release, combined with his powerful Tailed Beast Bombs, make it hard for Boruto to gain a lasting upper hand.
Jura’s intelligence also makes things harder for Boruto. The more Jura understands about the ninja world and people, the better he can anticipate Boruto’s feelings, actions, and choices.
Shibai Otsutsuki Is the Closest Thing to a God
In the world of Boruto, Shibai is a particularly important member of the Otsutsuki Clan, known for his advancements in shinjutsu and his impact on the idea of godhood. Unlike other Otsutsuki who constantly travel between planets to harvest chakra fruit, Shibai has moved beyond that cycle thanks to his successful missions, earning him the title ‘God of the Otsutsuki’.
Shibai has gone far beyond simply existing as a physical being. Amado believes he’s completely shed his body and achieved a higher plane of existence – the ultimate goal for all members of the Otsutsuki clan.
As Shibai’s power grows, so does the reputation of his unique abilities. Techniques like Omnipotence, Claw Marks, and Daemon’s Reflect all originated with him. If Boruto were to fight this incredibly powerful Otsutsuki God one-on-one, he wouldn’t stand a chance of winning, or even surviving.
Momoshiki Otsutsuki Knows Boruto Inside and Out
Boruto couldn’t have defeated Momoshiki Otsutsuki without Naruto and Sasuke’s assistance. He simply wasn’t strong enough to win on his own. Techniques like the Vanishing Rasengan and Shadow Clone would have been ineffective against Momoshiki’s immense power as an Otsutsuki.
Even with his current abilities in Boruto: Two Blue Vortex, Boruto would likely lose in a fight against Momoshiki. Momoshiki understands how all of Boruto’s new powers work, giving him a significant advantage in predicting and countering Boruto’s attacks.

Isshiki Otsutsuki Proves Too Much for Naruto and Sasuke Combined
Isshiki Otsutsuki is no longer alive, but his incredible power makes him a major threat to remember. While he lived, he easily defeated both Naruto and Sasuke in battle. He even pushed Naruto so far that Naruto had to use a dangerous new ability, Baryon Mode, for the very first time.
Isshiki’s control over Kokugan was exceptional. Combined with the powers of Daikokuten and Sukunahikona, it made him too fast and powerful for even Naruto and Sasuke to handle. Had Isshiki not been hindered by his problems with Kawaki, he would have been an overwhelming and unbeatable opponent.
Daemon’s Reflection Makes Him Practically Invulnerable
Currently, Daemon is taking center stage in Boruto: Two Blue Vortex as he fiercely protects Eida from an overwhelming number of Shinju Mamushi clones. He’s determined to keep Mamushi from reaching Eida, even if it means sacrificing himself to do so. Daemon is completely devoted to Eida and fully committed to his duty as her bodyguard.
Despite seeming straightforward, defeating Daemon is incredibly difficult, even for a skilled ninja like Boruto Uzumaki. His unique ability allows him to instantly reflect any attack back at the opponent, without leaving an opening. Anyone who tries to harm him will likely have their own attack turned against them.
For Boruto to have a chance against Daemon, he’d need to completely hide his aggressive feelings. This is a major problem because controlling his emotions is already hard, and the influence of Momoshiki within him makes it even tougher.
Kawaki Uzumaki Is One Step Ahead of Boruto
Throughout the series, Kawaki has consistently demonstrated being more skilled and strategic than Boruto. He’s often a step ahead, consistently surpassing Boruto in both ability and making choices.
I’m seriously impressed with how Kawaki’s developed! Even though Boruto’s gotten a huge power-up after the time skip, Kawaki is right there with him, thanks to all the upgrades Amado’s been giving him – they’ve really boosted his attacking power. Plus, he’s had more time to master the Karma seal than Boruto, and he’s actually gotten used to Isshiki’s dojutsu. Honestly, after watching his fight with Jura in the Land of the Wind, it’s pretty clear Kawaki still has the edge over Boruto.
