Boruto: 6 Strongest New Abilities Introduced After The Timeskip

Over the years, the Boruto series has introduced many incredibly strong ninja. Especially with the Two Blue Vortex continuation of the original Boruto story, the manga now features a surge of exceptionally powerful characters, each with amazing abilities.

In the Naruto universe, powerful abilities have always been central to the story, and the authors, Kishimoto and Ikemoto, have expertly developed them. With the new generation taking center stage in Two Blue Vortex, we’re seeing a wealth of incredible powers revealed, including the unique abilities known as Karma, and much more.

6. Boruto’s Flying Thunder God

Boruto Uzumaki underwent significant growth during the three-year time skip following the original Boruto series. In Two Blue Vortex, he’s become exceptionally strong and acquired many new skills. Notably, he’s developed a power called the Flying Thunder God. However, it’s important to understand that Boruto’s version of this technique is quite different from Minato’s; while they share the same name, they function in fundamentally different ways.

Boruto has a unique teleportation technique where he can imbue chakra into metal objects. By visualizing their form and sensing them with his chakra, he instantly teleports to their location. This gives him a significant advantage in fights, allowing for incredibly fast movement and surprising attacks, like when he battled Matsuri. Although his teleportation isn’t as refined as that of the Fourth or Second Hokage, he’s ultimately a more powerful ninja overall.

5. Inojin’s Mind Body Transmission Formation

I’m absolutely fascinated by the Yamanaka clan! They’ve always been known for their incredible sensory abilities and this unique technique they’ve used – basically, connecting their minds and bodies – for generations. But Inojin, the newest member, has really blown everyone away. He’s refined this skill into something truly special, something he calls the Mind-body Transmission Formation, and it’s on a whole other level! It’s amazing to see how he’s built upon his family’s legacy.

Inojin Yamanaka created this powerful ability in just one day during the Boruto series’ Mamushi arc. It works by connecting Inojin to a few chosen people, turning them into living sensors. These individuals act like sonar, instantly relaying any vibrations around them back to Inojin. He specifically developed this technique to detect the Shinju, a dangerous enemy who can completely mask their chakra. While the Shinju can hide their chakra, their unique energy signature can still be detected through Inojin’s ability. This allows him to monitor anyone who threatens the barrier he creates. Although not useful in direct fights, this technique is incredibly effective at strengthening Konoha’s defenses and is one of the most impressive defensive powers in the series.

4. Mamushi’s Division

A particularly impressive ability introduced in Boruto: Two Blue Vortex is Mamushi’s power to divide himself into multiple copies. It’s similar to the Shadow Clone technique, but far more dangerous and potent. When a ninja uses Shadow Clones, their chakra and strength are split between each copy. Mamushi’s division works differently; each copy is just as strong and has the same amount of chakra as the original. What makes this power truly frightening is that Mamushi can theoretically divide himself an unlimited number of times.

He can split himself into an infinite number of pieces, giving him the potential to obliterate everything. However, each division weakens his mind, making even basic awareness a struggle. This ability, introduced through Boruto, is arguably the most dangerous one fans have seen, and no opponent, regardless of strength, could withstand it in a fight.

3. Jura’s Tailed Beast Beam

Jura, the leader of the Shinju, possesses the greatest power among them all. In the Boruto series, he’s revealed to be the host of the Ten Tails, making him incredibly strong. The story explicitly states he’s even more powerful than Isshiki Otsutsuki, to the point where humanity wouldn’t stand a chance against him.

Jura has demonstrated several impressive abilities, including Wood Release, but his most devastating attack is undoubtedly his Tailed Beast Beam. He can fire a concentrated blast of energy, similar to a miniature Tailed Beast Bomb, from his eye with incredible speed. This attack is so fast that even highly skilled ninjas can’t see it coming, and it can defeat opponents with a single hit. For example, Boruto Uzumaki was taken down in one strike, highlighting just how dangerous this technique is.

2. Boruto’s Rasengan Uzuhiko

Throughout the Two Blue Vortex series, Boruto Uzumaki has gained several impressive skills, including a powerful attack called the Rasengan Uzuhiko. This technique harnesses the planet’s energy and rotation, causing significant and lasting damage to anyone hit by it. Victims of the Rasengan Uzuhiko experience constant dizziness and lose their sense of balance and coordination. They’re even unable to effectively use their chakra, making it a particularly dangerous ability.

Even a powerful ninja like Code can be defeated with a single Rasengan Uzuhiko. But those who can use techniques like the Tailed Beast Bomb or a regular Rasengan can easily defend against it.

1. Sarada’s Ohirume

So far, the most powerful technique shown in the Boruto series is likely Sarada Uchiha’s Ohirume. This advanced jutsu, unlocked through her Mangekyo Sharingan, lets Sarada create up to four black holes. She can control their size based on her chakra levels, and also decide what objects they pull in. Additionally, Sarada can adjust the strength of the gravity each black hole emits.

These black holes have incredibly strong gravity. Even durable shields like the Shinju are instantly pulled into them. Sarada then destroys the black hole by compressing it with her massive power, causing it to explode. She recently demonstrated this by defeating sixteen copies of Mamushi in one attack, but using this technique comes with a significant drawback: temporary blindness.
