Naruto Uzumaki is a central and incredibly popular character in the Naruto series, making his recent portrayal in Boruto particularly upsetting to fans. During his fight with Isshiki, Naruto lost the power he gained from Kurama. Soon after, shockingly, he was sealed away by his adopted son, Kawaki, and hasn’t been seen in the story since.

Fans are eagerly anticipating Naruto’s return, and many hope he’ll have a new ability since he’s lost a major source of his power. Interestingly, this potential power-up was actually hinted at in the story eight years ago – it was there all along, but fans didn’t realize it!

Many Naruto fans are curious about what new abilities he might gain. While some popular theories suggest he could reconnect with the Tailed Beasts to receive more chakra, or even become a Jinchuriki again, the most probable path for his power-up seems to be through a Scientific Ninja Tool.

The latest chapter of Boruto: Two Blue Vortex, chapter 28, recently revealed that Sumire has enhanced Sasuke Uchiha’s sword using scientific ninja technology. This upgrade made the sword significantly stronger and sharper, and it still has hidden abilities that haven’t been shown yet.

If Sasuke receives a high-tech ninja weapon, it’s almost certain Naruto will get one too when he returns. This potential ability was actually hinted at right after the fight with Momoshiki.

Viewers witnessed him getting a prosthetic hand capable of absorbing ninja techniques, but at the time, it wasn’t fully functional. It appears that hand is now complete.

Naruto Will Gain An Upgraded Hand

Naruto Uzumaki received a prosthetic hand that could absorb chakra, much like Momoshiki Ōtsutsuki’s Rinnegan. Initially, Naruto’s hand could only absorb chakra, not release it like Momoshiki could. However, it’s been three years, and the hand has likely been significantly improved and may now be able to release chakra as well.

When Naruto comes back, it’s very likely he’ll get a new prosthetic hand that can absorb and release chakra, and potentially even increase his own chakra reserves.

Naruto’s Next Power Up Will Be A Scientific Ninja Tool

It’s pretty clear that Naruto will soon receive the Scientific Ninja Tool hand as a way to become even stronger. He’ll likely be able to absorb and release chakra with it, but that’s probably not the only new ability he’ll gain.

This power is incredible – it should be far stronger than anything he possesses. However, there’s a significant cost. It works by drawing on our life force. Because our chakra is linked, any power created from our lifespans also reduces his. That’s what makes Baryon Mode so powerful. — Kurama to Naruto Uzumaki

Similar to how Sasuke’s sword contains hidden abilities, Naruto’s prosthetic hand should also have unique powers. Since Naruto no longer has the power of the Nine-Tailed Fox, Kurama, he needs a suitable replacement ability within his new hand.

This new ninja tool should significantly increase Naruto’s strength, adding to its other benefits. It might even give him a new ability, like a chakra cloak made from absorbed energy, or simply make him better at both attacking and defending. Regardless, Naruto will definitely become more powerful when he gets back.
