Currently, two powerful ninjas are absent from the fight in *Boruto: Two Blue Vortex*. Naruto Uzumaki is missing, and his longtime rival and friend, Sasuke Uchiha, has been transformed into a tree by Code. With the emergence of Jura and the God Trees, Sasuke is stuck in this form and can’t effectively help in the battle.

Okay, so things aren’t looking great for Sasuke, and honestly, it doesn’t seem like we’ll be seeing a rescue mission anytime soon! *Boruto: Two Blue Vortex* is really building up to something huge, and it looks like Konoha itself is about to face a massive threat. Kishimoto and Ikemoto are dropping hints about Eida, Daemon, and even the Shinju and Mamushi being involved in a major conflict. It’s a real shame, because poor Sasuke is completely stuck and can’t do anything to help!

Sasuke Uchiha remains a powerful and important figure in the Boruto Uzumaki story. He’s become a father figure to Boruto, raising him as if he were his own son at Naruto’s request. Even though he was often away, Sasuke also greatly influences Sarada’s development. Both Boruto and Sarada clearly show traits inherited from Sasuke in many different ways.

Similar to Naruto, Sasuke has experienced a significant decrease in his power. He first lost his Rinnegan to Momoshiki Otsutsuki, who controlled Boruto, and then sacrificed his freedom to Code in order to save his student. Now, Sasuke has been transformed into a tree, isolating him from the fights and people he once dedicated his life to protecting.

Currently, Sasuke Uchiha is no longer actively involved in the story. Being trapped prevents him from participating in the events of the *Boruto* manga, which is a temporary break from his role as a mentor. Fans are eager to see him return, hoping he’ll become even more powerful after overcoming the Shinju curse, similar to how Moegi and Shinki did.

Instead, his chakra is slowly being used to power his Shinju Clone, Hidari. This means Sasuke is actually getting weaker the longer he’s trapped, which is the opposite of what many expected – they thought he’d be recovering or building strength for a big return.

It’s perfectly understandable why fans would like to see Sasuke become as powerful as he once was in *Naruto*. While it’s still possible to imagine him regaining his Rinnegan and arm, the way the *Boruto: Two Blue Vortex* manga is going makes that seem less likely, and for good, well-reasoned reasons.

Having gone off on his own and lost Konoha’s backing, it’s unclear who will now take care of Sasuke, but Boruto and Kashin Koji are likely candidates.

Sasuke’s Comeback Could Happen Before Naruto’s Big Return

Sasuke Just Needs Hidari’s Thorn Soul Bulb

Many fans are hoping to see Sasuke return before Naruto Uzumaki makes his big comeback in the *Boruto* manga. Bringing Sasuke back seems more straightforward – the characters just need to defeat Hidari and get the thorn soul bulb. Rescuing Naruto is much harder because he’s trapped in another dimension, and it would take a big change from Kawaki or Jura losing control to make it happen.

Considering the current storyline in *Boruto: Two Blue Vortex*, Sasuke is expected to return before Naruto. Whether Boruto or Sarada is the one to defeat Hidari and bring Sasuke back, his return is highly anticipated. For Boruto, it would mean a reunion with his mentor, and for Sarada, it’s the chance to finally see her father, a legendary ninja, again.
