Boruto: Kishimoto Is Sacrificing This Major Character for New Shinju Power-Up

This article contains spoilers from the Boruto: Two Blue Vortex manga.

The latest episodes of Boruto: Two Blue Vortex have revealed important information about what’s coming for Konoha, and which characters might not make it through the upcoming conflicts. With Jura and the God Trees still around, everyone Boruto cares about is at risk. The Shinju’s increasing hunger threatens everyone from Naruto and Himawari Uzumaki to Sarada Uchiha – no one is guaranteed to survive.

I’ve been watching the Boruto story unfold, and Kashin Koji’s foresight has really helped Boruto in his battles against Jura and the God Trees. But even Koji admits he can’t predict everything. The manga, Boruto: Two Blue Vortex, is starting to suggest a big change is coming – it looks like Kishimoto and Ikemoto might sacrifice Eida to make the Shinju even stronger. People have been talking about this potential power-up for a while now, and it feels like it could happen pretty soon.

Eida Could Die in Boruto: Two Blue Vortex

Mamushi Is Coming to Kill Eida

  • Mamushi will attack Konoha to consume Eida.
  • Eida is no fighter and lacks combat skills.

Eida possesses an incredibly strong power in Boruto: Two Blue Vortex that can fundamentally alter reality. Though she can’t always control its full potential, her ability constantly affects those around her, including Boruto, Kawaki, Sarada, Sumire, and even those like the Shinju Mamushi who seek to exploit her unique genetics.

Eida has always been scared of Mamushi, believing that once it targeted her, she wouldn’t be able to get away. Although she hasn’t directly encountered Mamushi yet, Eida recognizes the powerful, primal instincts driving it – instincts so strong that even all-powerful beings might struggle to control them. This is why Eida avoids using her Senrigan vision to observe the Shinjus, as she knows Mamushi is constantly watching her.

Unlike Daemon, Eida isn’t a skilled fighter. She lacks the ability to defend herself against someone like Mamushi if they meet in Konoha. If a fight happens, she might be forced to accept defeat. In fact, she’s been frequently discussing the possibility of her own death, almost as if she anticipates it.

Shinju Mamushi Could Get a New Power-Up

The Power-Up Born From a Shinju Consuming Their Target

I’ve been following the story, and it’s clear that even though Jura and the God Trees lost Matsuri and Ryu, they’re still a huge danger to Konoha and especially to Boruto. What makes them so scary is how unpredictable they are and how quickly they’re getting stronger – it’s really hard to know what they’ll do next without Kashin Koji’s ability to see the future. Honestly, even Amado, who knows a lot about powerful enemies, thinks Jura is practically unkillable, because he can just keep healing himself from any injuries.

So far, we’ve seen what Jura can do, but fans haven’t yet seen a Shinju actually consume someone. If Mamushi manages to eat Eida, he’d be the first Shinju to potentially gain a huge power boost, or even completely transform in a way we haven’t seen before. Even more concerning, if he gets Eida’s genetic information, he might even be able to use unlimited power whenever he wants.

Currently, Mamushi has a real chance of winning for his team. His power to perfectly copy others is a major problem for Eida. Even with Daemon protecting her, they might not be strong enough to defeat Mamushi. While Sarada, Sumire, and Boruto’s friends in Konoha might try to intervene, they may not be able to overcome someone as powerful as him.

Eida’s Death Could Reverse the Effects of Omnipotence

Boruto and Kawaki’s True Roles Could Be Restored

Boruto Uzumaki has always prioritized rebuilding his family, even though many fans wish he’d focus on undoing the consequences of the Omnipotence. He continues to believe Kawaki can overcome his inner demons, and that’s what matters most to him.

Currently, it’s unclear when or if the effects of Eida’s Omnipotence can be reversed or managed. However, if Eida were to die during Mamushi’s attack on Konoha, her power might suddenly stop, potentially fixing the changes she’s made without realizing it. Essentially, if Eida dies, Boruto and Kawaki could return to how things were before.
