This article contains spoilers from the Boruto: Two Blue Vortex manga.
Boruto’s Battle with Jura in the Land of Wind Concludes; New Arc Begins Amidst More Twists
In the latest chapter (25), we witness Boruto and Kawaki engaging in a thrilling fight against Jura, set within the expansive plains of the Land of Wind. This epic encounter marks the end of one arc, as another intriguing plot unfolds involving Boruto and Momoshiki. Sasuke Uchiha’s disciple has demonstrated exceptional strategic acumen, yet there remains potential for further development in this area.
In reference to Sasuke, the recent chapter of “Boruto: Two Blue Vortex” showcased Boruto surpassing Sasuke in skill. Frequently compared due to their shared traits, Boruto has often been referred to as a successor of sorts to Sasuke. However, Chapter 25 of “Boruto: Two Blue Vortex” demonstrated that, on this occasion, Boruto outperformed Sasuke.
Boruto Wants to Be Like Sasuke
Boruto’s Ninja Way Aligns More With Sasuke’s

- Boruto aims to become a ninja like Sasuke Uchiha.
- Boruto has no interest in succeeding Naruto as the next Hokage.
Right from the start, it’s evident that Boruto Uzumaki doesn’t plan to tread the same path as the revered Seventh Hokage, Naruto Uzumaki. Although Naruto was the head of Konoha and the most powerful ninja in his era, he didn’t quite inspire his children like Sasuke Uchiha – something many spectators are well aware of. Unlike emulating Naruto, Boruto finds himself drawn to Sasuke as a role model instead.
Indeed, Boruto openly shared his ambition with Sarada in Naruto: Next Generations. Unlike Sarada who aspires to be Hokage, Boruto desires to follow Sasuke’s path and develop his own ninja style, particularly after gaining knowledge about Sasuke’s significance within the village. It comes as no surprise then that Boruto was eager to learn from Sasuke at the earliest opportunity. Fortunately for him, he was granted the chance to train under Sasuke’s tutelage.

In the anime series Boruto: Two Blue Vortex, there’s a noticeable resemblance between Boruto and Sasuke in terms of appearance and combat style. The parallels between them are becoming increasingly hard to ignore, so fans might as well embrace these similarities that are emerging between the two characters.
Boruto Mirrors Sasuke But Better in TBV Chapter 25
Boruto Just Recreated Sasuke’s Deal With Orochimaru
- Boruto proposes a deal to Momoshiki to defeat Jura.
- Boruto’s deal mirrors Sasuke’s deal with Orochimaru.
In Chapter 25 of Boruto: Two Blue Vortex titled “Those Girls“, a stunning cliffhanger occurred as Boruto proposed a risky deal with Momoshiki Otsutsuki. This is the initial post-time skip appearance of Momoshiki, and he appears somber until Boruto mentions the agreement. Essentially, Boruto seeks Momoshiki’s assistance in defeating Jura. If they manage to vanquish the Ten-Tails’ manifestation, Boruto pledges to yield his body to Momoshiki without hesitation.
Although Boruto’s question remains unanswered, Momoshiki now finds himself with a chance to alter his dire situation, given the deal he’s been presented. This arrangement bears resemblance to Sasuke Uchiha’s pact with Orochimaru from the original Naruto series. At that time, Sasuke was driven by an intense desire to increase his power rapidly, not only for revenge but also to outshine Naruto, who was rapidly strengthening himself.
Could you consider lending me a hand? -Boruto to Momoshiki
Boruto, unlike Sasuke who was driven by revenge, pursues power primarily for strategic reasons. While Sasuke’s actions were often influenced by hatred, Boruto shows wiser choices, even if it involves seeking power from his adversary. Moreover, it wouldn’t be surprising if Boruto has a secret advantage to keep Momoshiki in check.
Boruto Could Surpass Sasuke
Boruto Might Be Stronger than Sasuke Now
Currently, Boruto surpasses Sasuke’s strength, as the latter remains ensnared within a tree. Boruto has perfected all that Sasuke drilled into him during their training sessions, complemented further by his instruction from Kashin Koji. He even outran Code following the removal of his limiters, and demonstrated an impressive performance against Jura in the Wind Country encounter.
As more story chapters unfold, fans anticipate Boruto Uzumaki’s growth in strength. It seems likely that Boruto could soon reach the pinnacle of mastery for the Karma technique, considering his recent decision to collaborate with Momoshiki against Jura. Unless Sasuke experiences an extraordinary power-up upon his return to normal form, it appears unavoidable that Boruto may eventually surpass Sasuke in strength.
