Boruto fans are really looking forward to seeing Naruto Uzumaki fight again. Currently, Naruto isn’t actively involved in the series, and that’s because of Kawaki. To protect Naruto from threats like the Otsutsuki clan, Kawaki chose to seal him away.

Naruto Uzumaki has been sealed away, but fans anticipate his return to the story. Many are curious about his power level and abilities when he does return, and it appears the author, Kishimoto, has already set the stage for Naruto to potentially unlock a powerful, unique ability called a Kekkei Genkai in the *Boruto: Two Blue Vortex* storyline.

I’ve noticed throughout the Naruto series that certain powerful abilities, called Kekkei Genkai, are really unique. What makes them special is that they aren’t something anyone can just learn – you’re basically born with them. Even if you’re incredibly talented, you can’t develop a Kekkei Genkai unless it’s already in your family’s lineage.

The Tailed Beasts believe Naruto is destined to follow in the footsteps of the Sage of Six Paths, essentially becoming his successor.

During the Fourth Great Ninja War, Naruto Uzumaki gained three unique abilities, known as Kekkei Genkai. He received Magnet Release from Shukaku, which gives his chakra magnetic powers, and Boil Release from Kokuo, allowing him to manipulate steam. Son Goku granted him Lava Release, an incredibly strong Kekkei Genkai. It appears Naruto is now preparing to utilize another one.

Using it requires a combination of Earth and Water Release techniques, which is something Naruto can easily accomplish. The second requirement is a natural ability to control forests and plants.

Naruto didn’t originally have this ability, but he later obtained Hashirama Cells. These cells, integrated into his prosthetic arm, allow him to use Wood Release, and his natural skills make it easy for him. Gaining Wood Release would significantly boost his power, which is especially important now that he’s lost Kurama.

Naruto Will Return Eventually

As a huge Naruto fan, I’m constantly checking for news about his return, but honestly, we don’t have a solid date yet! It’s looking like we won’t see him back before the big fight between Boruto and Kawaki wraps up. The word is that once Kawaki is back under control, they can finally release Naruto from his seal, and *then* we’ll get to see what incredible new powers he’s developed! I’m so excited to find out!
