Boruto: Sasuke’s Return Has Already Been Confirmed By Kishimoto

This article contains spoilers from the Boruto series.

Among the cherished characters from the Naruto series, Sasuke Uchiha still stands out as a fan favorite, even in the Boruto series. Given his immense popularity, fans are particularly distraught due to his recent absence from the storyline. Moreover, it’s worth noting that Sasuke Uchiha has endured significant mistreatment in the Boruto series throughout its run.

It’s clear that he struggled against opponents he should have effortlessly defeated, and his clumsiness even led to him being injured in a way nobody wants to be – having his eyes wounded. To add salt to the wound, Sasuke Uchiha has mysteriously been written out of the Naruto storyline by the author, who seems to struggle with incorporating established legends into the rising newcomers. However, fans have been eagerly awaiting Sasuke’s return, and it looks like creator Masashi Kishimoto is finally planning to bring him back. The wait for Sasuke’s comeback may soon be over, and if Kishimoto stays true to his hints, we can expect a powerful and even stronger version of Sasuke than before.

Sasuke Uchiha Will Return After The Fall Of Hidari

Sasuke Was Turned Into A Tree By Code

  • He needs the Thorn Soul Bulb to be freed
  • Hidari will go down soon in Boruto

In the anime series Boruto, Sasuke Uchiha’s decline began post his fight with Isshiki Otsutsuki, leading to Momoshiki taking control of Boruto Uzumaki’s body and stabbing Sasuke’s Rinnegan. This resulted in Sasuke losing all his powers. Later, during a timeskip in the series, Sasuke faced off against Code, who used his Claw Grime army to transform Sasuke into a tree. As of now, Sasuke remains a tree within Boruto. The introduction of a new humanoid Ten Tails, named Hidari, has emerged, and to save Sasuke, Hidari must be defeated first. However, the task doesn’t end there. His core, known as the Thorn Soul Bulb, must be extracted from Hidari and given to Sasuke for him to fully return to the storyline.

It appears that author Kishimoto is preparing for Sasuke’s official comeback within the Boruto series. With two Shinju already depleted, it seems likely that the upcoming arc will witness the demise of all three remaining Shinju, among them Hidari. At present, Hidari remains unscathed, but this may not last long as Sarada Uchiha is soon expected to face him in battle. It’s quite possible that Sarada will emerge victorious from their encounter, capturing the Thorn Soul Bulb along the way. If so, she could use this artifact to summon Sasuke back, providing fans with a long-awaited reappearance of one of the series’ legendary ninjas in Boruto.

Sasuke’s Return Is Closer Than Ever

Fans Hope Sasuke Returns Stronger Than Before

Fans may be curious about when the confrontation between Sarada Uchiha and Hidari will occur. To clarify, Mamushi has begun his journey to reach Eida, and it’s expected that he’ll meet his end within the following 5 chapters of the Boruto series. This leaves only Hidari and Jura remaining, and fans are well aware that they’re due next.

His abilities are just like my dad’s! — Sarada Uchiha

Upon Mamushi’s descent, focus shifts towards Hidari, who is certain to face defeat at the hands of Sarada Uchiha. This conflict may pave the way for Sasuke Uchiha’s return, estimated within approximately a year. While this timeline might appear lengthy, it’s quite contrary in the context of Boruto being a monthly manga series.

The upcoming Chapter 26 of Boruto: Two Blue Vortex is scheduled to be released on September 20, 2025. You can catch it at 10 AM Eastern Standard Time or 3 PM Coordinated Universal Time. As usual, enthusiasts can access the chapter for free through the Manga Plus and Shonen Jump applications.
