Season 3, episode 4 of “Bosch: Legacy” starts with Robertson and Perez informing Curtis Dignan about their knowledge of his connection to Bosch and Preston Borders. Simultaneously, Bosch and Mo Bassi are investigating Finbar McShane’s business activities, which lead them to a character named Bing, who has a criminal history that includes a failed robbery. At the same time, Honey Chandler’s campaign is encountering difficulties and needs immediate crisis management. Despite Bosch’s pressure for her to implicate him, she resists and instead explores other options. One such option involves an unofficial conversation with journalist, Scott Anderson.
In a turn of events, Curtis Dignan undergoes questioning by detectives Robertson and Perez, yet he responds rudely, despite the evidence against him that connects him to Borders, Kurt Dockweiler, and Bosch. Consequently, they detain him. It later transpires that Borders will be compelled to appear before a grand jury. Subsequently, Robertson and Perez drive Preston Borders in a vehicle, and the convicted felon relishes teasing them while basking in a short-lived freedom experience.

I pay a visit to Sheila Walsh and beg her for the truth about the company’s affairs. I suspect these underhanded dealings may have something to do with the family’s disappearance. She maintains that Stephen mentioned they were going on a vacation, but there seems to be more to it, and I can sense it.

What Happens During The Big Showdown Between Harry Bosch And Preston Borders?
At a high-profile court hearing, Harry Bosch faces questioning from District Attorney Susan Saldano. She inquires about his past dealings with Curtis Dignan, to which Bosch admits that he was once a covert informant on a murder case, and helped secure his release. However, when he learns of Dignan’s current imprisonment, Bosch exercises his fifth amendment rights to avoid self-incrimination. Following Bosch, Preston Borders is called to testify, but also invokes the fifth amendment regarding a burner phone connection traced to a Hollywood Hills residence – where Bosch resides. After the grand jury hearing concludes, Bosch becomes suspicious when he observes Rita Tedesco, wife of Preston Borders, acting suspiciously outside the courthouse. He alerts detectives Robertson and Perez about his concerns.
Something ain’t jake here. You guys are being played, we all are.
The detective pair dismiss Bosch’s worries and set off on a trip to return Borders to his rightful place: Wasco State Penitentiary.
Sit back, shut the f**k up and enjoy your ride back to Wasco.

In the fourth episode of Bosch: Legacy, Bosch listens as a car driven by armed henchmen collides with Robertson and Perez’s vehicle, following closely behind in his own car. One of the henchmen frees Borders, but Bosch intervenes, exchanging gunfire with him. Lopez shoots one of the bad guys, while Robertson pursues Borders who is also being chased by Bosch. Wounded and cornered, Borders takes refuge in an abandoned warehouse. Catching up to Borders, he pulls a gun on Bosch, but Robertson arrives just in time to shoot Borders dead, saving Bosch’s life. Maddie consoles her father, while Jimmy vows to clear his name. The episode concludes with Bosch receiving a voicemail from Sheila Walsh, agreeing to discuss Finbar McShane, but upon arriving at her home, he finds her dead body.
