Created by Balloon Studios, based in London, Botany Manor is a soothing puzzle game where players cultivate enchanted flora in the picturesque English countryside. Launched back in early April 2024 across the Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Series X/S, and PC platforms. The PlayStation version of this game was initially set to launch on December 17, but that plan was changed. A day before the scheduled release date, Whitethorn Games, a publisher based in Pennsylvania, revealed that the PlayStation versions of Botany Manor were being postponed. The company explained that they wanted to guarantee “an exceptional gaming experience” as the reason for the delay and promised to share a new release date in 2025.

On January 9th, Whitethorn kept their word by revealing that the PlayStation version of the game ‘Botany Manor’ is scheduled for release on the 28th of January. Although the game has been given two release dates so far, it hasn’t yet appeared on the PS Store. Consequently, owners of both PS4 and PS5 will have to hold off a little longer before they can add it to their wishlist.

In the PlayStation version of “Botany Manor”, you can expect a price tag of around $24.99, consistent with its other releases. This game is a one-time purchase and doesn’t require any additional microtransactions. Unlike the Steam edition, the digital soundtrack isn’t sold separately in the Switch and Xbox versions of “Botany Manor”. Consequently, it seems unlikely that this extra feature will be available for purchase on the PlayStation Store either.

Botany Manor To Bolster PlayStation Library of Puzzlers

Originally, Botany Manor was warmly received with near-unanimous praise, as evidenced by its “Strong” rating on OpenCritic, based on an average score of 83 out of 100 and a 92% recommendation rate from critics. Its inviting atmosphere, clever puzzles, and deep exploration have left many critics impressed, resulting in the game earning a reputation as a charming puzzler and one of the best games of its kind released in 2024. Given this reception, Botany Manor appears poised to strengthen the growing collection of engaging PlayStation puzzle games.

After debuting on the PlayStation Store, “Botany Manor” has now become available across all platforms it originally planned to release on. Balloon Studios hasn’t disclosed what project they will tackle next after completing the port of their first game. In addition to “Botany Manor”, January 28 will also welcome roguelike title “Cuisineer”, action RPG “Eternal Strands”, and tactical stealth game “The Sone of Madness” onto the PlayStation Store.
