Brawl Stars: Best Hypercharges, Ranked

Brawl Stars: Best Hypercharges, Ranked

As a seasoned Brawl Star player with countless hours under my belt, I must say that each of these hypercharged brawlers brings a unique and exhilarating twist to the game.

Brawl Stars represents a widely-played multiplayer game on mobile devices, where participants engage in various game types while selecting from an extensive roster of characters, each boasting unique skills. One of these skills is Hypercharge, a potent ability that players can acquire for 5,000 gold once their character reaches the maximum level (11).

Similar to a brawler’s special skill, hypercharges accumulate during gameplay at a steady pace. When triggered, it enhances the brawler’s speed, attack power, and defense by a variable percentage depending on the character. Additionally, it amplifies their Super’s effectiveness, providing an edge in combat. This compilation features the top 10 hypercharges for players to consider, but those not listed are still valuable if players have extra gold.

10 Seismic Smash (Frank)

A Stun Attack That Almost No One Can Escape

  • Movement Speed Boost: +26%
  • Damage Boost: +5%
  • Shield Boost: +25%

As a die-hard fan, I’d like to share the awesome power of Frank’s regular super, which takes down foes in my immediate vicinity, inflicting damage and momentarily stunning them for two seconds upon impact. But here’s the kicker, when I activate Frank’s Seismic Smash hypercharge, his super extends its reach to everything within a circular area around me, making it nearly impossible for enemies to dodge. To top it off, this hypercharge turbocharges my movement speed, enabling me to swiftly move towards opponents before unleashing my super, which if successful, can obliterate an entire team in one go!

Although Frank’s hypercharge covers a larger space, it doesn’t hasten the delay of the super’s attack, and its reach is actually shorter than his standard super, spanning only 6.33 tiles instead of 7. Consequently, enemies on the periphery of his attack area still have enough time to flee.

9 Supermassive (Tara)

Summon A Massive Enemy-Pulling Portal

  • Movement Speed Boost: +24%
  • Damage Boost: +25%
  • Shield Boost: +5%

Tara’s Hypercharge function works exactly as described, amplifying the size of her portal to colossal proportions. This allows Tara to effortlessly draw in adversaries and swiftly deal extra damage (increased by 25%) with her penetrating cards. In game modes like Gem Grab or Hot Zone, where enemies tend to cluster together, a single Hypercharged blast from Tara can drastically alter the course of the match.

Furthermore, if Tara utilizes her super ability to seize several opponents and annihilate them, this action will accumulate a secondary super charge. In essence, Supermassive serves as an exceptional hypercharge, empowering Tara and her comrades to swiftly eliminate the enemy team in one fell swoop.

8 Teen Spirit (Colette)

Summons A Spirit That Follows Colette During Her Super

  • Movement Speed Boost: +26%
  • Damage Boost: +25%
  • Shield Boost: +5%

In the course of her speedy advance, Colette’s essence inflicts additional harm on adversaries as she goes. When this essence strikes an enemy combatant, it causes 1,000 damage – not particularly impactful, but notable. However, when it lands on a specific target such as Heist Safe, Nita’s Bear, or Jessie’s Turret, the damage skyrockets to 5,000, making it highly effective against certain brawlers and exceptionally powerful in the Heist game mode.

Beyond that, if Colette manages to inflict sufficient damage during her initial dash to trigger another super, she can utilize it twice in succession, summoning additional spirits capable of causing even greater harm. Darting through adversaries, striking their protected zones, and then dashing back can lead to swift victories in a Heist match. Nonetheless, due to its targeted nature, there are hypercharges that offer more power for a broader spectrum of scenarios.

7 Scrappy 2.0 (Jessie)

Same Turret, But Bigger And Better

  • Movement Speed Boost: +26%
  • Damage Boost: +25%
  • Shield Boost: +5%

As a gamer, I can vouch for my hypercharge ability turning the tables in battles. When activated, my trusty turret, Scrappy, becomes an intimidating force for enemies to reckon with. With boosted health and damage output, it’s like having an extra tank on the field.

In Heist, Jessie’s enhanced hypercharge significantly boosts her performance. Her turret becomes capable of inflicting massive damage on the enemy safe, making it harder for opponents to destroy it. Additionally, her increased durability in health makes her a formidable force in controlling specific map areas during control game modes.

6 Hyperbearing (Nita)

What’s Better Than A Big Bear? An Even Bigger Bear!

  • Movement Speed Boost: +26%
  • Damage Boost: +25%
  • Shield Boost: +5%

Just like Jessie, Nita’s hypercharge amplifies the strength of the unit she spawns. Instead of a turret, Nita summons her bear companion, Bruce, whose movement speed and health are boosted when summoned during Nita’s hypercharge. This transformation makes Bruce a formidable foe for enemies, as he can move faster towards them and is harder to defeat. Moreover, with Nita’s increased speed, she can keep up with Bruce, adding even more pressure in various game modes, making her stronger overall.

Combining Nita’s Hyperbear special ability that boosts Bruce’s attack speed, he becomes a formidable adversary for enemies, particularly effective against enemy strongholds in Heist mode. Essentially, Bruce’s mobility and pursuit capabilities make him a more dominating force compared to Jesse’s turret.

5 Unlimited Energy (Max)

More Speed, More Supers

  • Movement Speed Boost: +24%
  • Damage Boost: +25%
  • Shield Boost: +5%

Max’s Hypercharge of Unlimited Energy, in essence, hurls an energy drink to her fellow players regardless of their location on the map. This action enhances their movement speed and boosts their super abilities by a substantial 25%. Notably, Max’s ability to charge her teammates’ supers can be particularly advantageous, contingent upon which brawlers are part of her team.

Apart from fortifying Max’s team significantly, the hypercharge also substantially amplifies Max’s own power. This enhancement bestows upon her an extraordinarily rapid movement speed that makes her exceptionally tough to counteract. In essence, Max’s hypercharge serves as a comprehensive upgrade to her already potent and valuable skill set.

4 Limbo (Leon)

Stay Stealthy Even While Attacking

  • Movement Speed Boost: +24%
  • Damage Boost: +25%
  • Shield Boost: + 5%

In a simplified manner:

Moreover, the synergy between his two abilities is spot-on when combined with hypercharge. Smoke Trails significantly boosts his speed, enabling him to swiftly approach enemies at astonishing pace. In contrast, Invisiheal greatly extends his survival time since it lets him heal as he takes damage and engages in combat.

3 Boomer (Dynamike)

Throws A Bigger Bomb That Explodes Into Smaller Pieces

  • Movement Speed Boost: +25%
  • Damage Boost: +25%
  • Shield Boost: +5%

Dynamike’s Hypercharge special ability amplifies the damage he inflicts on enemies during his super attack. So much so that when this ability is activated, Dynamike can single-handedly eliminate an entire enemy team. When combined with his Demolition star power, which increases his super’s damage to a staggering 1,600, there are very few brawlers that can endure a direct hit from the hypercharged bomb, which delivers a massive 7,500 points of damage upon impact and scatters dynamite fragments that deal an additional 2,250 damage each to any enemies outside of the blast radius. However, without his Demolition star power, Dynamike’s super deals significantly less damage in both stages of its explosion.

Additionally, due to the extensive destruction caused by Dynamike’s hypercharged super attacks, he frequently readies another super during this period, unleashing further chaos immediately if needed, or saving it for a later tactical advantage, based on the circumstances at hand.

2 Swift Winds (Sandy)

Is There Anything A Sandstorm Can’t Do?

  • Movement Speed Boost: +25%
  • Damage Boost: +25%
  • Shield Boost: +5%

Swift Winds intensifies Sandy’s sandstorm, making it more formidable. This augmented sandstorm not only grants a 20% speed increase for Sandy and his companions, but also mutes enemies for half a second upon impact, preventing them from assaulting or utilizing any gadgets, special abilities, or hypercharges. This feature makes it an effective tactic against other potent hypercharge brawlers. The speed advantage also enables Sandy and his teammates to swiftly approach adversaries or evade them while hidden within the sandstorm.

With these additional abilities, coupled with his existing sandstorm super, plus the damage and speed enhancements for Sandy, he becomes exceptionally effective at managing any part of the map. This is especially true in game modes like Gem Grab and Hot Zone.

1 Slushie Storm (Lou)

Instantly Freeze Enemies

  • Movement Speed Boost: +26%
  • Damage Boost: +25%
  • Shield Boost: +5%

Although Lou might not be the most powerful brawler in terms of brute strength, he possesses a hypercharge that dramatically amplifies his power. When activated, Lou’s super has an amazing ability to freeze enemy brawlers for 1.5 seconds upon impact. Due to its long range, deployable nature, and wide coverage area, landing this super is quite straightforward, providing Lou and his team with a free opportunity to eliminate any stunned opponents.

As a gamer, when I unleash my hypercharge, it gives me an edge on the battlefield. If I manage to score enough hits with it, I can follow up with another hypercharged super, stunning any remaining foes and securing more map territory. To put it simply, my hypercharge makes me a master of area control, and it’s not uncommon for me to sweep the enemy team off the map in one swift move, often turning the game around in my favor.
