Brawlhalla’s Mega Man Crossover Explained

Brawlhalla's Mega Man Crossover Explained

As a long-time gamer who grew up with Mega Man blasting robots left and right, this latest crossover between Brawlhalla and Capcom’s iconic mascot is nothing short of delightful! The attention to detail in recreating Mega Man’s moves, his trusty canine companion Rush, and even the classic death sound effect had me reminiscing about my childhood.

In the past six years or so, Brawlhalla hasn’t been as widespread as Fortnite, but it has certainly had its share of collaborations. Similar to Fortnite, these collaborations for Brawlhalla have originated from various sectors of the entertainment industry. This includes popular gaming franchises such as Shovel Knight, Rayman, and Assassin’s Creed, animated series like Ben 10 and Adventure Time, and blockbuster film series like Star Wars.

In this fresh crossover for Brawlhalla , another iconic gaming character from Capcom, Mega Man, makes an appearance on the platform fighting scene. The star attraction is the Mythic skin for Mega Man, and this collaboration with Brawlhalla also brings new weapon skins, a new sidekick, and a host of other themed cosmetics that fans of the franchise won’t want to overlook.

Brawlhalla’s Mega Man Crossover Bundle Explained

Brawlhalla’s Epic Mega Man Skin

On September 25, the Mega Man skin for Brawlhalla was made available, priced at 400 Mammoth Coins. This skin offers a host of distinct features that may make it worth the cost for many enthusiasts. The Mega Man skin is designed for the character Vivi Legend in Brawlhalla, replacing their Capoeira fighting style with Mega Man’s famous Mega Buster and new Battle Boots inspired by the Capcom mascot.

Similar to other crossover skins in Brawlhalla, Mega Man brings unique animations for basic attacks, jumping, and recovery moves, all reminiscent of his original franchise. For the first time in the history of Brawlhalla, this skin will modify attack animations so that only a single blaster is fired instead of two during light attacks. The light attacks of Mega Man’s Mega Buster also include special sound and visual effects inspired by his series.

With the Mega Buster, the Mega Man skin for Brawlhalla includes a fresh set of red rocket boots designed for attacking opponents. Interestingly, these rocket boots are none other than the hero’s loyal robotic dog companion, Rush, who has taken on this form to aid his friend. Additionally, Rush can be seen as a new skin for the Rocket Lance, where certain attack animations modify the character’s facial expression. Accompanying Mega Man is his robotic bird ally Beat, who makes an appearance in Brawlhalla as a brand-new sidekick.

Brawlhalla’s Mega Man KO Effect

What separates a good Brawlhalla crossover skin from a great one is the character’s KO Effect, appearing every time the player falls to their doom or is thrown out of bounds. Thankfully, Mega Man’s KO Effect might be one of the best in Brawlhalla, with it referencing the hero’s death animation from his past appearances. Getting knocked off the stage will show a set of yellow circles emanating from the point of impact, and the iconic Mega Man death sound will play.

Everything Else Included in Brawlhalla’s Mega Man Crossover Bundle

For even more value, the Brawlhalla Mega Man crossover pack offers some extra visual treats. Buying this pack gives players six emojis inspired by the series, featuring characters such as Dr. Wily, Proto Man, Rush, and Roll. Additionally, players get two avatars showcasing classic 8-bit Mega Man and one of the original game’s iconic energy tanks.

Players logging into the Brawlhalla game during its Mega Man collaboration event will receive 250 Gold and a complimentary “Robot Master” Title. Additionally, they’ll get to witness Mega Man, Beat, and Rush dominating the main menu of Brawlhalla.
