To access this feature, players must first progress to a certain level. Follow this guide to discover how to add friends in Brighter Shores.
How To Play Brighter Shores With Friends
In order to make new friends within Brighter Shores, begin by activating the ‘Level Up’ mission from the Main Story quest line. You can access this mission once you have finished the initial three narrative quests: Welcome to the Guard, Healing Captain Degreene, and Debriefing.
Following a conversation with Captain Jal Degreene regarding joining the town guard, the “Joining the Guard” adventure commences. During this quest, you’ll receive your first sword, activate the Hopeport Portal Stone, learn magical spells, and carry out tasks such as locating Delana’s bow and fighting goblins. Upon discovering Captain Degreene’s injury, the “Heal Captain Degreene” mission starts, requiring you to gather Brown Kelp and craft a 10% Healing Potion for her. Subsequently, the “Debrief” quest unfolds, where you brief Corporal Binns, learn the Immunity spell, and ultimately unlock the “Level Up” quest.
As soon as the Level Up quest becomes active, a ‘Community’ icon will pop up at the bottom right corner of your screen. This icon allows you to make new friends, but remember, before you can do this, you need to activate the ‘inviting feature’ through the privacy settings first in order to enjoy playing with friends.
To adjust this, click on the gear icon (Settings) located at the top left corner of your screen, then choose ‘Change’ under Privacy Settings. This will open the Co-Op settings. From there, locate question four: “Who can you send friend invitations to?” and select the ‘Anybody’ option for it.
Just a friendly reminder: You’ve got the option to customize additional friend list preferences too, like who can see when you’re online or send you private messages.
To add friends to “Brighter Shores”, simply tap the ‘Community’ icon, select ‘Friends’, navigate to the ‘Invite Friend’ section, and input your friend’s full name (include any suffix if they don’t have a premium pass). If they already possess a premium pass, just type their full name without the suffix. After that, click ‘Send Invitation’. They will receive a notification in their inbox, and upon acceptance, they will be added to your team.
