A player in Borderlands 4 has found an incredibly powerful build using the character Amon that can inflict billions of points of damage. This build became possible thanks to a recent game update that adjusted Amon’s Raging Inferno skill.
When Borderlands 4 first came out, many players thought Amon was the least effective character. Gearbox quickly addressed this with a major update earlier this month, which significantly improved his abilities. However, Gearbox is constantly making small adjustments to all characters, and sometimes these changes have unexpected consequences. A recent patch note mentioned that the damage from Amon’s ‘Raging Inferno’ skill now increases with player investment, and the effect has been surprisingly dramatic.
This Overpowered Borderlands 4 Amon Build Deals Billions of Damage
EpicNNG, a popular YouTuber, recently shared a video showcasing a powerful build for Borderlands 4 that utilizes the recent changes to the Raging Inferno skill. This build can inflict billions of damage thanks to a combination of factors. It relies on the Force of Nature Augment, which ‘primes’ enemies with damage stacks when hit by a gun, and then detonates those stacks when the enemy takes further damage from a Forgeskill. Players can build up to ten of these damage stacks, and by using a weapon like a Spread Launcher, they can quickly apply a huge amount of potential damage that triggers when a Forgeskill attack lands.
The game calculates all of this as Action Skill Damage. By maximizing the Raging Inferno Passive – specifically, reaching level five – players can significantly boost their damage output, potentially reaching billions of points. This effectively means any enemy, even future bosses in a potential Borderlands 4, will be instantly defeated due to the sheer amount of damage.
EpicNNG warns players that a powerful Amon build in Borderlands 4 is likely to be adjusted soon. They call it unstable because it deals so much damage—billions, even to future enemies—that it’s almost certainly overpowered. Players focusing on this build, called Amon Raging Inferno, should be aware that Gearbox will likely make changes, similar to how they recently adjusted the Vex Crit Knife build.
