Buffed Warzone SMG with “phenomenal” TTK is perfect sniper support

As a seasoned gamer with over a decade of battle royale experience under my belt, I can confidently say that the recent buff to the Striker SMG in Warzone has turned it into an absolute game-changer for sniper support.

In the game Warzone, one-shot snipers are incredibly strong, but it can be tough to find the right sidearm to complement them. Fortunately, a SMG received a significant boost and now surpasses other options to function as the go-to companion for snipers in the current meta.

In the Season 5 Reloaded update, the Static-HV received a significant reduction in power, which created a large void in the close combat playstyle. Consequently, numerous players found themselves questioning their weapon choices when using Sniper Rifles.

For striker-type players like you, the Striker might be just what you’ve been seeking to resolve your challenges. The SMG, famously known as the UMP45 from Modern Warfare 2, received a significant boost in the mid-season update, and its stats now surpass other guns within its category.

As a dedicated gaming enthusiast, I’ve recently delved into the world of SMGs in Warzone, breaking down their Time-To-Kill (TTK) stats for all the top contenders on my YouTube channel. Among them, the Striker stands out as a clear frontrunner, outperforming the rest by a significant margin.

In terms of damage at distances beyond 20 meters, it was discovered that the UMP outperformed the FJX Horus, WSP-9, and Superi 46. This 20-meter threshold is particularly significant when considering weapons for sniper support.

At a distance of 30 meters, the Striker’s incredible 900 milliseconds time-to-kill (TTK) outperformed its nearest competitor, the toned-down Static-HV. However impressive the latter may be, it didn’t match up to the Striker’s performance.

After testing the Striker for myself using our best loadout, I found it to be an absolute beast at mid-range, as it often let me go toe-to-toe with Assault Rifles in situations where a Sniper Rifle just isn’t viable.

This weapon functions exceptionally well in close combat situations. Although it may not boast the fast firing speed or instant kill time like other submachine guns within the range of 0 to 10 meters, it consistently performs admirably, and I seldom found myself at a tactical disadvantage.

If you’re using a Sniper instead of an Assault Rifle or Light Machine Gun (LMG), you should choose something adaptable as your companion item, and the Striker fits that description perfectly.

Regarding the sniper, WhosImmortal suggests using the Kar98k, a reliable choice that’s been holding its ground in Warzone since its comeback. However, there are alternative one-shot options available such as the KATT-AMR or MORS.
