Bully Online Has Been Announced, But There’s a Huge Catch

Ever wished you could play Rockstar Games’ popular 2006 game, often called ‘GTA for kids,’ with friends? Now you soon will be able to! Bully Online is coming, offering multiplayer exploration, fresh minigames – some are really strange – and racing challenges.

However, there’s a major limitation: Bully Online isn’t a standalone game, it’s a modification, or ‘mod,’ created by a team led by SWEGTA, a well-known YouTuber who focuses on content related to Rockstar games.

Bully Online Actually Looks Like Insane Fun

SWEGTA recently shared a new trailer on YouTube for Bully Online, a fan-created project that adds multiplayer to the 2006 Rockstar Games title. He mentioned it’s been a long-term effort, and currently, Take-Two and Rockstar don’t seem to be objecting to its release.

The new trailer, available below, highlights how the game works, featuring completely new elements for the Bully universe (also known as Canis Canem Edit in some regions).

The team behind this SWEGTA mod has gone all-out with creativity. Players can compete in races using all sorts of vehicles – from cars to shopping carts – and participate in everything from gang battles and first-person shooter arenas to gnome skateboarding and boxing matches.

Bully Online looks set to be highly customizable, easy to use, and fun. According to SWEGTA, the possibilities for what they can create within the game are endless. The project is funded by fans through Ko-Fi, and SWEGTA and his team are now finally ready to share Bully Online with everyone.

In the video, SWEGTA explains:

Things that seemed impossible just a few years ago are now achievable, like creating an online version of the game. We’ve established an official server for Bully Online and will release it for public access soon.
