Marathon, a thrilling extraction shooter, allows players to choose among six characters, the Runners – cybernetic mercenaries tasked with enduring the harsh environments of planet Tau Ceti 4. Bungie has confirmed the Closed Alpha and now discloses a significant modification made to it.

The Closed Alpha for Marathon won’t require Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs), giving its testers the liberty to discuss details and show footage. This revelation was made on the game’s official Twitter page, where the developers outlined what participants can anticipate during the testing phase starting April 23, as well as their reasons for this change. Earlier, a five-month embargo was in place, meaning Alpha testers couldn’t disclose anything about the game. However, now they are free to provide feedback and opinions, and even stream the game. Marathon Gains the Spotlight as Closed Alpha Approaches

Furthermore, during this test phase, users will be granted early access to progression systems, factions, and contracts. However, it’s important to note that some features such as ranked play, finalized graphics and designs, a fully polished user interface, and end-game activities are not included in the Alpha version.
