A reliable insider has claimed that Marathon might receive some sort of reveal next week.
Bungie has been hinting at a possible reveal for Marathon on their social media platforms, with Jeff Grubb suggesting during Game Mess Decides (as reported by TheGamePost) that fans can expect significant updates “next week”.
Previously, Grubb hinted at a potential reveal of Marathon in April. Back then, he mentioned that Marathon wasn’t likely to appear in PlayStation’s State of Play event since Bungie tends to handle their announcements individually, similar to how they manage Destiny. Grubb further suggested that we might learn about Marathon in April, and it could be a separate announcement apart from the State of Play.
Since its unveiling at the PlayStation Showcase event, Bungie’s Marathon has remained shrouded in secrecy. The only information we’ve received since then has been a developer talk from the game director, detailing the game’s development and offering glimpses of future characters through concept art. No actual gameplay footage has been released yet. If Marathon is set to be unveiled next week, gamers will eagerly anticipate seeing some gameplay during the reveal.
